No... Please don't redirect me to weaning.
Stumbled across My Imaginary Well Dressed Toddler Daughter, a spoof. She's called Quinoa. Its a fab name. If only it wasn't a super food.
Why am I attracted to product names!!!

Site is hilarious.
Quinoa. Am I alone in thinking this is a fantastic (sounding) name?

How about Anisette? (actually rather like that...)

Anisette, Tamarind and Caraway would make super triplets.

Whenever I suggest naff hipster names DH starts a mock monologue aping a pretentious parent in Fortnums... "Coriander darling, please don't put your fingers in the caviar... yes I know it's exploring darling but we have lots of caviar at home for you to do that with."

TweeAintMee · 09/07/2014 20:49

Zara - he has a point...have you listened to the Archers?

Zara8 · 09/07/2014 20:59

not recently Twee... the music does my head in!!

He got good mileage out of it when I suggested Saffron recently - which I think is a lovely name!! He suggested we change DS' name to Coriander, and called him Coriander intermittently for 2 days.... Hmm Grin

Well, where do I start? Mrs Snell (interfering import from Surrey) who arrived in the village about 25 years ago fretting and tutting about her eau de nil wall paper choices, has a step daughter called Coriander and obsesses about pets with equally ludicrous names. I can picture the writing room - they must just wet themselves laughing when they think up story lines for her.

My DM insisted on calling DD Coriander throughout my pregnancy. When I was having DS he was Basil to keep the theme.

Shallishanti · 09/07/2014 22:33

it suited her

Having experience of Sciatica I can only say that I really really detest her.

betold · 09/07/2014 23:18

Yes Twee, 20 weeks of that! Angry

MarrogfromMars · 10/07/2014 01:45

Twins: Persimmon and Physalis (carefully pronounced)

butterfliesinmytummy · 10/07/2014 01:49

Just had a look at quinoa and her pals on Pinterest. Her book is out now, might buy it for a friend and flick through it first

CrimeaRiver · 10/07/2014 03:49

Chia, Pearl Barley, Teriyaki and Hemp. They'd be siblings. Has a certain ring to it.

burgatroyd · 10/07/2014 07:32

It looks better written down than pronounced.

I suppose Keane could be a nn?

My friend loves the name Chernobyl for a girl. He'd obviously never use it, but this is what it reminded me of!

I also love Shoah for a girl, but it means Holocaust, and that just takes the edge of a little bit...
