Are there any names you love but you wouldn't use as dislike the nn?

There are several names I think are lovely but wouldn't use them as I don't like the nicknames associated with that name. Samantha (Sammy), Nicholas (Nick) and Natalie (Nat) to name a few for me.

I am the opposite with some names though. Love Seb not so keen on Sebastian, I like Alex but only so so on Alexander and prefer has to Jasmine.

Love Victoria don't like Vicky and Tor
Love Stephanie don't like Steph
As a francesca I hate Frankie and if I give the death stare if someone calls me it
I really like Cassie but I'm not keen on Cassandra or Cassidy

I love Joely and Christina but Jo and Chris are just too commonplace as nicknames.

Wannabe we had the same problem with Cassie so went for Cassia

An idea?

I'm the opposite Mintymoomoo - I love the nn Jenny but can't abide Jennifer! If we'd had a girl, I would have called her Genevieve to be able to use Jenny/Genny as a nn (DH was fine with it too ).

I knew a Francesca who called herself Cesca (Chesca) - I liked that. Don't like Fran or Frannie though, and really dislike Frankie.

Cassiopeia is another long option for Cassie.

Another vote for Victoria. Really like it and went to school with one who despite always calling herself Victoria became a Vicky at sixteen/seventeen.

Absolutely detest the name Vicky, Vic etc

stokey I'd never heard of it before but it's beautiful and goes beautifully with dps surname.

mintymoomoo dp was going to be Jennifer but Jenna for short instead.

Me and dd are francesca and Jennifer and I can't believe how many people don't like jenny it's beautiful lol

Madeleine is nice but Maddie is just too 'mad'.

Also hate Willie/Will (a last will, a verb) but quite like William.

I liked Rebecca but also hated the shortened names.

I have a Charlotte though, she is very firmly against any nn and any attempt by anyone to shorten it is met with a response that it is not her name and must not be used.
Suspect this is my doing for insisting to her that the alternatives are all horrible!

Love Alexandra. Really dislike Lexi! Also love Rosanna but don't like Ros

Felicity but not Flick, Lissy or Fliss.

And conversely, really like Pippa but not Philippa.
