Is Roger due a revival?

I haven't seen any mumsnetters mention the name 'Roger', so what do you reckon? Is it due a revival? What other names could be resurrected?

Like Fanny and Gaylord, Roger won't be popular again because of it's double meaning

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 21/11/2013 21:04

I rather like Fanny.

I'd say no,never but Stanley has and I find that really quite mind boggling.

Spaghettinetti · 22/11/2013 08:44

Ha Ha! Some of your posts have really made me laugh! ;-)

I like Roger because I don't believe there is one under 60 anywhere. By the time he's 18 in will be extremely cutting edge.

Although, hang out - what about Roger Rabbitt?

wetaugust · 23/11/2013 21:19

I know a Roger who is 51.

AgathaPinchBottom · 23/11/2013 22:22

I prefer roger to Alan. I met a baby Alan recently. Isn't the rather dashing hero in 100 and one Dalmatians called roger?

MrsJohnDeere · 24/11/2013 12:29

I know a 5yo Alan

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 24/11/2013 19:33

Where do we stand on Colin?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2013 21:33

No, no, no to Roger and to Colin.

I do think that Roland is due a revival though. I like it.

Chottie · 25/11/2013 05:53

No to Roger, it's my BiLs name and he has suffered with it all his life. What has MiL thinking???

MyNameIsSuz · 01/12/2013 11:09

I love it! But I think I was aware when naming DS what everyone else thought and it didn't even make it onto the long list. I love it though. And I hate a lot of the names suggested instead, like Patrick or Douglas. Those are hideous.

TheNunsOfGavarone · 01/12/2013 12:05

Roger the lodger the sod!

No, don't think it's due a revival.

Colin and Kevin are popular in the us for some reason, to me they're 'dad' names in the non-retro-cool sense, however have a few American acquaintances with kids names like 'Cavinn' 'Kollin' 'Collyn' 'Keven' etc. weird.
