I like Catherine, Elizabeth and Vivienne. Not so keen on the others.

Tweediewalker · 15/09/2013 21:58

I like Grace as well! Thanks :-)

and another favourite

Emma Cecilia

( we chose it for DS2 - if he'd been a girl)

Karbea · 15/09/2013 22:11

Prefer grace to rose.

EnjoyEverySandwich · 15/09/2013 23:02

I like Camilla or Vivien (with the less frilly spelling unless you are French).

I would avoid Rose, May and Grace as these are the "default" middle names of this generation. Be a bit more original, there are thousands of other names to choose from.

whyno · 15/09/2013 23:36

All lovely. Like Camilla, Catherine and Penelope best.

CruCru · 15/09/2013 23:38

I think many of these are very nice. However, a word of caution - are some rose varieties named this? For example, I think there may be a Camilla Rose (something to do with Prince Charles and Horticulture). I would be amazed if there isn't an Elizabeth Rose too. It may be that you are unintentionally naming your daughter after a species of plant.

It might be worth googling rose varieties to check this. However, if they are all in Latin or you aren't bothered then that is fine.

I like Camilla, Elizabeth and Vivienne.

LazyGaga · 15/09/2013 23:38

Elizabeth.

Vivienne is quite nice but still seems a bit middle aged to me - don't like Viv at all.

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/09/2013 23:40

Vivienne Elizabeth

PeacockPlumage · 15/09/2013 23:43

Catherine, Elizabeth or maybe Penelope. All don't date and have a variety of nn.

Don't like your others as much though.

CruCru · 15/09/2013 23:49

I may be wrong - cant find Camilla Rose on Wikipedia.

CruCru · 15/09/2013 23:51

Ah no - it is called the Duchess of Cornwall.

LeoandBoosmum · 16/09/2013 01:53

Francesca but I'm starting to feel like - pretty as they are - Rose, Lily, May, Grace etc - are beginning to sound way too overused! Every little girl these days seems to have one of those four as a middle name!

AurorasShoes · 16/09/2013 02:08

I love Francesca and I'm throwing in the wildcard of Francesca Elizabeth as an alternative to Rose (also really like Francesca Vivienne)

SmallTorch · 16/09/2013 02:17

I like Penelope Rose.

MummyBeerest · 16/09/2013 02:28

Elizabeth Rose stands out the most to me.

SlangKing · 16/09/2013 02:42

Since you seem so set on the Rose part, why not just call her Rose? If it HAS to be a middle name, none of those first names 'flow' right for me. Off the top of my head, I prefer Philippa as a Rose prefix.

DizzyPurple · 16/09/2013 02:43

Francesca, Elizabeth or Catherine.
I agree Francesca Elizabeth do go well together. I don't really like Fran though and that put me off using it myself!

sleepingbeautiful · 16/09/2013 03:51

I dislike Francesca and Olivia but really like all the others.
Probably I'd pick Genevieve, Penelope, Camilla or Vivienne just because there are less of them around.
Other middle names that might work: Lucy, Mary, Anne, Grace, or just use Elizabeth as a mn as you already like it.

HicDraconis · 16/09/2013 04:04

I like Penelope and Catherine with Jane, or Genevieve with Rose. Olivia is ok but very common here currently.

Not overly keen on Vivienne / Vivian as a name but then I saw way too many episodes of the Young Ones!

The others are all a bit Mallory Towersy for me.

Sanjifair · 16/09/2013 06:22

Penelope Rose is nice. Not keen on Vivienne Rose.

NadiaWadia · 16/09/2013 06:27

My favourites are Francesca, Catherine or Olivia. BTW, there is only one 's' in Francesca.

AgathaPinchBottom · 16/09/2013 08:25

Camilla

wigglesrock · 16/09/2013 09:15

I like them all, Penelope and Catherine are probably my least favourite and Camilla possibly edging it as my top. I love Olivia as well, I have one Smile

Theas18 · 16/09/2013 09:21

Go on, be brave just call her Rose. it's a fab name :)

Not Olive Rose it's really odd to get your teeth round for some reason.
