DP wants an Indian name... but I don't like any of the boy suggestions! Help please.

DP is of Indian descent, born and bred in London and goes by an English nickname.
We don't know the gender of the baby but he thinks it's going to be a boy anyway there are plenty of nice sounding/meaning girl's names but I don't like ANY of the boy names he's suggested... I.e. Raj, Lakshmann...
This is second baby (first dd with Caucasian partner and has an 'english' name).
also want a name where people don't say "sorry, what?!" when we say his/her name...

I love Ravi, Asher, Hari. DP wanted us to use Vikram but not sure about nickname Viki?

My DP is called Harry & (despite being Scottish!) he is quite dark skinned, & people do sometimes ask him if it is spelt Hari. So I think people would cope.
