Sadly I'm not Cornish, not likely to have another baby, and even if I did, I don't seem to grow girls, so it's a complete fantasy.

But I love it!

thatwasadaftidea · 17/08/2013 22:38

I'm in Devon, we don't do Cornish Wink

LottieJenkins · 17/08/2013 22:55

Wilf's Grandma is called Edith. I love that name!

thatwasadaftidea · 17/08/2013 22:55

I really really like Iris, DH is taking a bit of convincing as he thinks it's an old lady's name.

ExitPursuedByABear · 17/08/2013 22:56

Tut!

tinypumpkin · 17/08/2013 22:57

I manage with Ophelia just fine thanks! It works here.

HahaHarrie · 17/08/2013 22:57

Iris sounds less old lady-ish to me than Hester, Polly and Edith.

But I do think you are over looking Gunilda from my list....

thatwasadaftidea · 17/08/2013 22:58

there's time exit. Iris she will be.

Iris Polly (lastname-o)?

bootsycollins · 17/08/2013 22:59

thatwasadaftidea · 17/08/2013 22:59

gunilda sounds like something you might say when first coming out of a coma

PinkGlove · 17/08/2013 23:02

Love Beatrice/Bea, Esme, Iris, Kitty, Polly, Sylvie, Tabitha, Thea

Nice list!

jennifersofia · 17/08/2013 23:05

Astrid, Beatrice, Kit, Theodora, Hester

Snazzyenjoyingsummer · 17/08/2013 23:06

Astrid, Renee, Kitty my top three

Clary · 17/08/2013 23:07

Of your list my favourites are Beatrice, Edith Grin, Iris.

The others are either ones I am not a fan of especially or somewhat out there - Nyx and Ora would raise a few eyebrows round my way.

Oh I see your shorter list included 2 or mine and you have now gone for Iris! Lovely choice.

thatwasadaftidea · 17/08/2013 23:10

well i'm not really at the point of having a final choice. am ridiculously early on in pregnancy and have no idea if having a boy or girl. I have two boys, I woke up this morning in a state of fear that I don't like ANY girls names.
by bedtime tonight I'm down to 6 contenders. so that feels a lot better.
