Dulcie Florabel
Mabel clementine
Flora Myrtle

Florabel, clementine and myrtle are firmly middle names, but other than that Im not adverse to switching them about a bit.
Which is your favourite combination?

I want Flora but DH says no. I don't like Dulcie. It doesn't sound like a real name.

Lots of reasons, mainly because we need a short first name to go with our long double barrelled surname.

Flora Clementine.

I really, really like Flora

SoftSheen · 25/07/2013 19:45

Jojay · 25/07/2013 19:59

Flora Clementine.

Beautiful.

eatyourveg · 25/07/2013 20:00

Yes Flora Clementine gets my vote too

Fenton · 25/07/2013 20:02

I like Mabel, I think it would go better with a two syllable middle name though, not three.

Lucie?

Mabel Clementine is fab.

I'm really sorry but Florabellsounds silly to my ears.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/07/2013 11:52

Yes,that was a DP compromise... I really shouldn't let him have a say...he can't be trusted. Wink

I just adore Flora as does DH but our surname starts FL so it was never to be..

Serenity6 · 26/07/2013 13:43

Mabel Clementine.

3boysgirlontheway · 26/07/2013 14:38

How do you pronounce Dulchie? Is it Dull-chee?

ZolaBuddleia · 26/07/2013 14:45

Dulcie Clementine, definitely.

Songbird · 26/07/2013 14:49

Dul-see I think 3boys

I really don't like Florabel but any combination of the others is adorable.

Is it definitely a girl? ConfusedGrin

pygmy · 26/07/2013 14:54

I really dislike Dulcie. It's a bit Darcey for me. Sounds really trendy.

squoosh · 26/07/2013 15:01

When I hear Dulcie, I think 'dullard'.

Sorry Dulcies of the world!

Songbird · 26/07/2013 16:20

I went to college with a Dulcie (had never heard the name before). She was looooooovely and I have ever since thought it a very pretty name. Really dislike Darcey though, and had never realised they sound quite similar, duh Hmm.

Confitdecanard · 26/07/2013 16:32

Mabel Clementine gets my vote.

ouryve · 26/07/2013 16:33

All nice names for a cow.

(Said by a mum who gave her DS a very popular name for a cat)

lemonmuffin · 26/07/2013 17:14

Dulcie and Mabel are dreadful.

Flora is a bit less dreadful.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/07/2013 18:13

Yes,Dulcie is pronounced Dul-see/Dol-see

I hadn't thought of how close it was to Darcey.
I still like it though Grin
The Dull thing doesn't bother me,neither does the 'animal' names thing...

So I'm still no closer to deciding!
