Makes me think of the character from 'Fresh Meat'. Then Jamaica. It's not a terrible name, but the shortening doesn't really work. 'Kings' would be better.

Kingston: not my cup of tea and I would probably judge a bit unless you were unspeakably cool, had Jamaican connections or it was a family name, but I wouldn't think it was ridiculous.

Kingy: ridiculous.

Reminds me of Gwen Stefani. Kingy is awful for a nn. Not a name I would choose but nothing wrong with Kingston.

And Kingy is waaaay too close to "Kinky" to be used as a name, IMO!

Hi, ladies you have had me in fits of laughter. I love the honesty on here. It was a name I heard today at the park, a little toddler. I almost fell over. Sorry for being a judgemental cow but it really did make me wonder if I would be the only one with this reaction. FWIW a white mum calling to her white toddler.
