Bailey Bunting?

Considering the rhyme Baby Bunting (that every one comments on) and my other 2 have been and are still called baby x bunting. Is Baby Bailey Bunting too much? I LOVE the name! I'm considering reverting to my maden name just so I can use it Wink

As in cry Bailey Bunting?

Don't float my boat but it doesn't make me wide-eyed like Adolf does.

racingheart · 04/04/2013 15:52

It's too much. Cute for a parent to say but a PITA for a child to grow up with.

BeebiesQueen · 04/04/2013 16:09

Are the words Cry Bailey bunting? I always thought it was Cry baby Bunting, daddy's gone a hunting.

If its Bailey then its definitely a no! I love the name :(

No the words are baby bunting but the ops baby would be bailey ... A play on words that she is asking would be too much

BeebiesQueen · 04/04/2013 16:40

Confused I am the op Bad [checks over shoulder just to make sure]

Boy or girl? Either way I don't think it is a name for a grown up.

imonkey · 04/04/2013 16:58

Hmmm I think it's too much personally

BeebiesQueen · 04/04/2013 17:15

your right an adult Bailey (boy) just doesnt sound like they would be taken seriously.

Floralnomad · 04/04/2013 17:20

Bailey sounds like a dogs name to me and coincidentally our dogs middle name is Bunting ( he's not balled Bailey ) . In answer to your question yes it's too much.

abbyfromoz · 04/04/2013 17:22

Too much sorry!

ZolaBuddleia · 05/04/2013 13:59

I love a bit of alliteration, but in this instance I think it would look like you had chose Bailey specifically to be like Baby.

Brodie?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 05/04/2013 16:16

Eek no I wouldn't. Bailey is fine can you not stick with your married surname and use it?

BeebiesQueen · 05/04/2013 20:34

Bunting is my married surname! I was joking about reverting, my maden name begins with w and is 1 sylable!

mewkins · 05/04/2013 20:41

Not as bad a Billy but still... I wouldn't.

Personally, I would avoid a first name beginning with B as Bunting is quite a cute surname and most B names would sound a bit nursery rhythm!

MortifiedAdams · 05/04/2013 20:43

Bailey isnt a great name imo. Even worse with Bunting.

Snazzynewyear · 05/04/2013 20:51

I'm not keen on Bailey either so I think that with Bunting would be a no-no for me.

TheBuskersDog · 05/04/2013 20:55

Floralnomad, your dog has a middle name?

Floralnomad · 05/04/2013 22:05

He actually has two middle names !

OkayHazel · 05/04/2013 22:09

I would be ashamed to have that name.

BeebiesQueen · 08/04/2013 10:45

okayhazel, ashamed is slightly harsh! Out of all the people I've asked its actually been a 50/50 split between thinking its cute and not liking it.

being ashamed is rather strong emotion suggesting you feel shame for an action, a name is nothing to feel shame over

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 08/04/2013 11:17

Thanks for explaining OP I still like Bailey but I think I'd not pair it with Bunting, personally.

PS Don't take "Ashamed" to heart, btw, OkayHazel must feel very passionately about names and better a genuine response than a false one..?

Thirstysomething · 15/04/2013 17:36

noooooo sorry. Very cute, but poor boy when he grows up!

PickledInAPearTree · 15/04/2013 17:48

I laughed when I read it!

I really wouldn't.

fussychica · 15/04/2013 17:58

Total no, no from me - sorry OP.
