We're expecting DC1 in August and have a shortlist of 8 boys names which we're mulling over (don't get me started on girls names, list is currently 41).

One of the current favourites is Euan/Ewan. But which spelling would you use?

We live in Scotland and have Scottish roots on both sides, but may not stay living up here long term if that helps!

Ewan, because I believe it is the scottish version. Euan is the Irish spelling.

slightly biased

This is a ridiculously old thread but - we are hoping to have a third and are considering this name. Just to say Euan is the Scottish version from the Greek! The Pictish name is Uuen and the Irish version is in fact Eòghann
