Please could you share your favourite girl names? Either that which you would use to name a baby or one you would have liked to be given yourself?
Emergency baby naming situation!
Many thanks

All names I would have loved but either are taken in the family or sound stupid with my surname.

Sophie. Is DDs middle name and I still wish it was her first name! But DH didn't like it so we compromised on her first name. Still love it though

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 23/02/2013 21:06

I actually changed my given name to a different one that I much preferred, but have only ever met one other person with the name in r/l. There are a couple in pretty famous books too, I keep getting asked if I'm named after them, even though I was in my 30s when one of them came out Grin
Thinking back to what I would have called my sons if they'd been girls, I shudder at the narrow escapes they had Grin and Dd was named for her great grandmothers.
I think my favourite girls name of always though, that I have liked consistently for years and years, is Eleanor. It doesn't date someone, or have "class connotations" or anything like that, it's a timeless beautiful name Grin

Beatrice. I love it. DS would have been baby Bea if he'd been a girl and DH doesn't want any more little people. I won't be using it, so it's all yours Wink
