Matilda and Edith crop up quite a bit!

Caoimhe · 03/12/2012 18:46

What about Amelia? It was the name of the youngest daughter of George III.

RobinsBaubleSparkles · 03/12/2012 18:47

Chantelle-Demi Chardonay for a girl

And

Kayden-Brayden Jayden for a boy.

I like the idea of Caroline, a nod to Kate's mother and the feminine form of Charles. Perfect!

Cwtchbach · 03/12/2012 18:53

I think it could be something Welsh maybe. They live in North Wales and I noticed they both sang the Welsh national anthem at the rugby the other day so maybe a nod to Wales somewhere in there. I was also going to suggest Adelaide which I love and secretly hope they won't call a girl that :)

JuliaScurr · 03/12/2012 18:55

Karen
Craig

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 03/12/2012 18:56

Maybe Andrew will feature as a middle name, after St Andrew's where they met ?

forevergreek · 03/12/2012 18:57

I think for a boy the first name wot be one of the main names ( Charles/ George/ Henry)

Leonard/ leopold / Lionel
Sebastian
Arthur
Maximilian
Alexander
Edward
Augustus
Magnus

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 03/12/2012 18:57

Guinevere Xmas Smile

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 03/12/2012 18:58

(I bet some hack has already got his back issues out to workout whereabouts Will and Kate have been over the past three monthGrin)

Viviennemary · 03/12/2012 19:01

I'd go for Alice, Elizabeth or Diana for a girl. And for a boy George, Albert or maybe even Arthur.

Yellowtip · 03/12/2012 19:01

Yes it was obv a holiday baby. Queen Maureen would be great. Move with the times etc.

Bound to be Queen Carole though, in deference. So retrograde :(

Why is she in hospital for mornng sickness? Is that normal? I just moaned.

Jojobells1986 · 03/12/2012 19:02

They can't have Elizabeth. I forbid it. I'm due first & I refuse to have a child with the same name as theirs born within weeks of each other. If they choose to name their child after mine then I shall bill them for the cost of changing the name. Xmas Wink

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 03/12/2012 19:03

Aww, my late mil who died in February was Maureen Elizabeth. It would be nice of Will and Kate to honour her memoryGrin

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 03/12/2012 19:04

Yellow, you have just committed the cardinal sin! Hg is not just morning sickness. You might need this :)

Jojobells1986 · 03/12/2012 19:06

Also, they can't have Alice. That's our middle name! Don't quite know how we ended up with so many royal names in our family! Xmas Confused

jaffacakehips · 03/12/2012 19:27

Charlotte Diana Elizabeth Alice

Or

Arthur Michael Charles Henry

GalaxyDisaster · 03/12/2012 19:30

She's not yellowtips, it's HG. It's an extremely serious pregnancy complication and, before drips, people sometimes died of it Sad.

Moaning about morning sickness is normal though Smile

scottishmummy · 03/12/2012 19:34

i dont care about naming a privileged royal baby,
i will leave that to those who like prole food and royal stories
you can all gush your way through her pg

PerksOfBeingNorthern · 03/12/2012 19:34

Top 3 for each:
George
Arthur
Alfred

Alexandra
Charlotte
Rose

I like the university connection but they just can't name him Andrew because of the Duke of York Xmas Shock
Isla is also out - Peter and Autumn's second daughter
I'm thinking traditional with a nod to family... Xmas Hmm Caroline Diana Elizabeth?? or James Phillip Henry?? Xmas Grin

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 03/12/2012 19:39

James is out, he is eddies son, viscount Severn

Badvocsanta · 03/12/2012 20:33

Charlotte
Henrietta
Arabella

Part1 · 03/12/2012 20:47

I think they will go for something biblical but not used for past royals, Samuel or Sarah perhaps.

TigerFeet · 03/12/2012 20:52

I'm rather liking slartybartfast's choices.

Excellent names, chosen by excellent people
