I'm not convinced about names that end in ie (they sound like nicknames), so that's why I eliminated Elsie, Marnie, Bonnie, Annie, Sylvie, Katie, Betty

I don't mind these but I'm not wild about them:
Astrid, Hazel, Harriet, Rosalind, Dorothy, Susannah, Leonie, Lucia

These are just personal 'wouldn't go there' names (I know people with these names, nothing against the names themselves): Julia, Georgia, Nina, Hayley, Kirsty, Natasha, Anita

I don't like these ones: Sorcha (sounds like scorch), Seren (sounds like a drug name), Clover (is a plant), Gwen (always brings to mind a women who never managed to be happy for some reason), Miriam (maiden aunt), Roisin (sounds like resin), Nesta (where birds lay their eggs).

Holly just makes me think 'girls of the playboy mansion'...

Rosalind is lovely, if I didn't have a D- surname I'd be tempted myself. Clover sounds like a farm animal name, sorry.

Can't go wrong with Lucia, Clara or Rosalind; gorgeous, classic names.

I'd take off Harriet - loads around at the moment and I remember a girl at school who was called Hairy Harry. Hattie also just sounds silly and as if she should have a hat fetish. Also a dog I knew was called Hattie so see it as a pet name, not for DC's. V. personal reasons I know!

I'd prob also take out Seren as I want to add ITY to the end and then it becomes a bit wishy-washy. Not sure about Sorcha either, makes me think of Scorcha (as in what a fat topless brit man in 40's would exclaim upon arriving in Spain on a nice day).

Hope that doesn't offend at all, just personal opinions to try to narrow it down a bit!

They are all different types, I couldn't really narrow down as what suits your family and type of DD is so personal. FWIW I think Sylvie, Susannah, Holly and Roisin are v flowing and feminine. Dorothy, Katie and Clara have an old fashioned but practical, classic feel and Astrid, Nina and Hazel cool, fun but strong names.
