We're still seeking inspiration. Can you give me your absolute favourite girls name - just one - never min whether it goes with siblings or surname or is too posh or dh doesn't like it. I'd just love to know everyone's favourite. Maybe we'll be inspired.

If only my DH husband would agree with us LaJardin. I think we're going to have a Lydia instead Smile

I love Ruby - it was my gran's name, but unfortunately it doesn't go with our surname so DD is Elizabeth (which, of course, I also love).

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 19/09/2012 14:12

My favourite girls name is Harriet. Has been since I was first pregnant with ds1 over 24 years ago.

Sadly never got to use it on a dd, only had boys although I did call it a hamster once Wink

I also love Seraphina, Leonora, Cordelia, Ottilie, Francesca.

It's over used, so probably not much use to you, but my all-time favourite is Sophia. Love the sound, the meaning (wisdom) and had a stunningly beautiful Spanish friend of that name in childhood, so I always associate it with lovely, beautiful children.

Trazzletoes · 19/09/2012 14:45

Xanthe. Desperately wanted to call DD Xanthe. DH said it sounded chavvy Hmm gutted.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 19/09/2012 14:45

Ophelia and Sophia are beautiful. So feminine and soft.

(Can't use either of them for hypothetical future DDs 'tho as know people with those names and it'd feel weird.)

googlyeyes · 19/09/2012 14:52

Lily

Just beautiful. I love pretty much all the flower names though

CheckItOutFartShoes · 19/09/2012 14:53

My DD has got my favourite 2 girls names: Emily Beth. So I'm buggered if I ever have another girl.
