Lisa - which above spelling do you prefer?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BonaDea · 08/08/2012 16:12

ROTFL

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. What if baby Lisa (sorry, Leesar) grows up to be a doctor or politician or lawyer. Won't she feel a bit stupid having a made up name?

TheDreadedFoosa · 08/08/2012 16:29

Sostressedsostressed - perhaps the reason you find yourself so very stressed is that you put unnecessary pressure on yourself to continually Make Up Shit On The Internet?

PenisVanLesbian · 08/08/2012 16:31

I think I'd spell it "myparentsaremorons" personally.

Trazzletoes · 08/08/2012 16:34

How about J-a-n-e, pronounced Lisa?

usualsuspect · 08/08/2012 16:35

Really?

MaryHansack · 08/08/2012 16:36

how about 'friedchickeneeshar'?

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 08/08/2012 16:36

trazzle did the joke I was going to, god damn it!

BelleTheOlympicBeatnik · 08/08/2012 16:38

Why don't you just spell it 'Troll'? A little more imagination would be nice, dear.

spamm · 08/08/2012 16:38

Hahahahahaha - how about Llyghssa? I am sure nobody else has that one.

IslaValargeone · 08/08/2012 16:39

Oh for the love of God, you cannot be serious?

Napdamnyou · 08/08/2012 16:44

Or you could be a bit Welsh and have Llisa.
:)

manicinsomniac · 08/08/2012 18:51

Leesa

Trazzletoes · 08/08/2012 20:40

Apologies, Nit - got to be quicker than that!

Trazzletoes · 08/08/2012 20:42

Incidentally, Lee (for a boy) is surely a cop-out... what's original about that spelling?! (wanders off muttering about the sexism in these names)

MrTumblesSpottyBum · 08/08/2012 20:55

Reminds me of a holiday job - lovely guy who was dyslexic sat next to me, cold calling. He asked to speak to Lezzer, instead of Liza. She gave him a real earful, and he was mortified.

Bluestocking · 08/08/2012 22:27

You lot are really not thinking outside the box here. How about L££$A?

Napdamnyou · 08/08/2012 23:21

Leasarghhhhhh
might work...

Ham69 · 08/08/2012 23:45

L'eigh'zsar

EdithWeston · 08/08/2012 23:50

Or just go for the full magical impact of Leviosa?

SilverSixpence · 08/08/2012 23:55

This thread is hilarious! Seriously OP you should not be colluding in the bastardisation of a perfectly good name.

Noqontrol · 08/08/2012 23:58

Leighzaaaar

There is surely no way this is real, but just in case it is, please point out to her that in the vast majority of english-speaking accents, the "R" on the end of a word isn't silent and so none of those read anything like Lisa to us.

MrTumblesSpottyBum · 09/08/2012 17:44

I quite like Leighphtsar (with a silent ph).

poorbuthappy · 09/08/2012 17:47

Leigh-czar.
With a silent hyphen.
