Opinions on Otto?

We started calling the bump Otto, just as a random bump nickname whilst discussing what to actually call him/her. Now we know it is a boy, Otto has kind of stuck and it is growing on us. Is it actually ridiculous and we've just gotten used to it? I'm worried it is too German sounding in a comic way...

Great name. My friend's son is called Otto and he is a wonderful 11 year old. I like the simplicity of it and it is a good name all over Europe. Yes, agree, it has some odd associations in Germany and it means eight in Italian and while the bus driver in The Simpsons isn't really a role model, there are some great Ottos - the already mentioned Otto von Bismarck, Otto Preminger, Otto Dix.
Great name - go for it.

I too think of Otto von Bismark. I think it's bad and a bit pretentious.
