You dont have to like it, although feel free to say either way if you wish, i was wondering whether you would first imagine a boy or a girl if you heard this name? and also if there are any nicknames/shortenings? I know you dont need one, it isnt a long name, but i do tend to shorten names and would like the option i think.

Can you tell this is DH's suggestion and I'm trying to like it enough to use Grin

Not much help sorry Grin

usualsuspect · 06/06/2012 18:14

I know* dunno where the the came from

Inthesleeplessnightgarden · 06/06/2012 18:15

It sounds like a boy's name to me.

scarlettsmummy2 · 06/06/2012 18:16

I presumed it was a boys name. Don't particularly like it, but don't actively dislike it either.

Ambrosius · 06/06/2012 18:17

A boy, I like it :) not sure about shortening it though, Loges?

MinnieBar · 06/06/2012 18:18

Deffo boy.

As in? Logan's Run Grin

Whatevertheweather · 06/06/2012 18:19

Boy. I don't like it at all. The couple I know with a son called Logan call him Lo-Lo and Logi bear. Makes my teeth itch.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 06/06/2012 18:21

I always thought it was a boys name, but my Dsis said its being taken over for girls now, not sure on her source though, take a break or something no doubt Grin

We are expecting a boy. DH would be doing cartwheels if i agreed to this name bless him. I like it just doesnt 'do' much for me. And Lo, Logie, are a bit pants. Perhaps i could call him Wolverine when no ones around Grin

I don't know any, but would assume one was a boy.

FWIW DD's name didn't do much for me when DH and I first thought of it, but now it does, because it is her.

littletomato · 06/06/2012 18:33

I like it for a boy.

LST · 06/06/2012 18:34

jaffacakehips · 06/06/2012 18:35

I like it. It reminds me of Any Human Heart.

reddaisy · 06/06/2012 18:40

I consider it to be a boys name btw and I don't know any.

scentednappyhag · 06/06/2012 18:40

Wolverine would be a fabulous nickname! Grin

Maamekin · 06/06/2012 18:41

I would assume it was a boy.

The first association in my head is Logan Airport.

usualsuspect · 06/06/2012 18:53

The girl Logan I know is in her 20s, I always thought it was an unusual name for a girl.

I quite like it though.

StepOutOfSpring · 06/06/2012 19:51

I'd assume it was a boys' name. Not keen personally - too much like loganberries and Rogan Josh, so too foodie!

misslinnet · 06/06/2012 19:51

Boys name.

I suggested this to DH, but he said that we were not naming our son after Wolverine.

CherryBlossom27 · 06/06/2012 20:19

I know one Logan and he's a boy! It's not my taste, but it's different from all the traditional names and a bit more modern like Callum.

Psammead · 06/06/2012 20:34

I quite like it. Boys' name for me, definitely.

No nn spring to mind that have not been mentioned.

Houseworkprocrastinator · 06/06/2012 20:35

I was going to use this for my girl, thought it was lovely. Oly changed my mind after she was born. Really glad I didn't because I now know Loads of boys called it. Some shorten it to logie.

Sarcalogos · 06/06/2012 20:37

I wouldn't call a child it but I like it for someone else's boy! Grin

Although I wouldn't say it was anything like Callum. As far as I know ones American and the others Scottish.

SlinkyB · 06/06/2012 20:37

There's a 2yr Logan (boy) in our family, I quite like it, and he gets called 'Logey' as a nn. Think it's a grower?
