If you could have chosen YOUR OWN name (first and or surname) -what would you have gone for?

I've never really liked my name - surname is OK but not a fan of my first name. I often flirt with the idea of changing it (has anyone ever successfully done that?) or assuming a pen name.
Inspired by the lovely double barrelled surname thread below - what would you like to have called yourself..?
I like the surnames:
Bloomfield - just sounds so inviting!
Russian sounding names - ending in vich or kov

Antonia.
I always loved that name. Love how it can be 'toni' for informal, or Antonia if you want a bit of a florish. Also read a book when I was a kid where the younger, awkward, sassier sister (ie me) was called Antonia, or Toni.

Then when I was about 14 I found out that my parents were going to call me Antonia, but after I was born my dad changed his mind. My dad is 10 years older than my mum, and my name is one that is far more common in women aged well over 50, so it makes me sound older than I am. Also, it's kind of round & blobby sounding. The only woman I know who has my name is 10 years older than me, and CHANGED HER NAME. (From our real name to something else)

We moved to the US 3 years ago, and I seriously discussed with dh whether to change my name to Antonia when we moved.

If I ever run away to a new life and reinvent myself, I shall be called Antonia.
