Not even a real name I know but any thoughts when used as a middle name for a girl born around the Jubilee celebrations?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Badgerina · 13/05/2012 09:19

Only if you REALLY REALLY REALLY love the Queen or are an X-Men fan.

ripsishere · 13/05/2012 09:22

Grin I suppose it's OK, nobody ever uses their middle names.
I thought I may use Muscat for DD. Sense prevailed.

McKayz · 13/05/2012 09:23

No it's strange. We decided against Elizabeth due to DD being due near the Jubilee celebrations and everyone we spoke to thought it was stupid.

AWomanCalledHorse · 13/05/2012 09:26

As a massive X-Men fan..I'd say yes. To do with the Jubilee, nah.

BadNails · 13/05/2012 09:28

I thought X-Men too. Which would be fine but she's a bit of a crap character.

insancerre · 13/05/2012 09:28

How about Queenie instead
Jubilee is a line on the tube

CaptainHetty · 13/05/2012 09:33

X-Men yes, Queen's Jubilee no.

I actually quite like it as a middle name.

Newtothisstuff · 13/05/2012 09:34

Wasn't that what the duggars called their 21st kid ????

cece · 13/05/2012 09:36

As a middle name? Just about OK if 'hidden' amongst others.

Was going to come onto say that Jubilee would be Lovely Jubly.

abbypumpkin · 13/05/2012 15:12

I think it's fine as a mn

EduStudent · 13/05/2012 18:21

Regina might be a bit more subtle Wink

ConsiderYourself · 13/05/2012 18:23

Jubilee is a frozen drink, one of those plastic cup things with a lid you pierce with a straw.

Regina, cool.

Snusmumriken · 13/05/2012 18:23

Only if your surname is Line.

PestoPenguin · 13/05/2012 18:56

Er, no

Geranium3 · 13/05/2012 19:03

quite cute for a special year but only for a middle name

Whoopydofoxpoo · 13/05/2012 19:18

But how about celebrating the Olympics as well and calling her ' Jubilympica '

Whoopydofoxpoo · 13/05/2012 19:18
Grin
LackaDAILYcarb · 13/05/2012 19:21

Just....no!

Diamond might work though Wink

Whoopydofoxpoo · 13/05/2012 19:22

What about just 'Elizabeth' ?

Jubilympica! :o

I might call my baby that.

Whoopy - any way you could work Titanic into that too?

Frontpaw · 13/05/2012 19:33

Makes me think of Cherries Jubilee

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/05/2012 19:35

Terrible.

And Regina is even worse imho.

Badgerina · 13/05/2012 19:55

Was just speaking to my dad about this today, apparently, my great, great, great grandfather (a farmer) had a horse called Jubilee, born on Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1894. He went on to become a war horse during WW1, and died bravely in battle on the fields of Flanders. Fancy that.

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 13/05/2012 20:02

Hopefully she'll grow up to be a Republican Grin!

No one would seriously give their child the name Regina would they?? Seriously??? Shock
