It is Covey.

C o v e y.

Oh dear.

Is it a made up name, or does it have a meaning I am unaware of?

I'm guessing co.vee, like coving.

He and Konnie must like the name - surely that's all that matters? Smile

No idea if it has a hidden meaning; it sounds daft to me!

MerryMarigold · 24/03/2012 18:57

Stephen Richards Covey (born October 24, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is the author of the best-selling book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

Yes, bless their loveliness. Congrats on birth of gorgeous baby etc.

But ...

Covey?

Maybe the book changed their lives!

bibbityisaporker · 24/03/2012 18:58

Oh God, I like it even less now!

Shoulda called him Habit

Charlie Brooker is so NOT funny btw

WidowWadman · 24/03/2012 18:59

I didn't even know he had a kid. I clearly don't read enough gossipy things

KatieMiddleton · 24/03/2012 19:03

Hmm Covey Brooker does sound like a firm of solicitors at law but they are a lovely couple who seem to have genuinely and unexpectedly fallen in love so I quite like them.

Hullygully · 24/03/2012 19:07

that is so rational, katie

KatieMiddleton · 24/03/2012 19:09
Grin
Sparklingbrook · 24/03/2012 19:09

Just reminds me of coving. Confused I wish them all the best, they do seem like a nice couple.

MinnieBar · 24/03/2012 19:12

Trying? really trying? no, you're right, it's a bit shit.

But as his real name is Charlton perhaps his view of what's normal is a bit skewed Grin

thisisyesterday · 24/03/2012 19:15

apparently it's a middle english name, so not made up

i can't say i particularly like it or dislike it...

Hassled · 24/03/2012 19:17

I didn't knowshe was pregnant. Am pleased for them - hope fatherhood doesn't make him mellow too much.

I think its nice. Though frankly I'm sure they don't give a toss what I or anyone else thinks. :)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/03/2012 19:23

I have never heard of Charlie Brooker - but Covey is a horrible name.

Kveta · 24/03/2012 21:00

it's not what I would have expected from Charlie Brooker. But it could be worse I suppose. It was never going to be Joshua, was it?!

And I am pleased for them too, they seem a lovely couple.

Bluestocking · 24/03/2012 21:09

That is BAD. I still can't get over the fact that he's married to Konnie Huq. She's so smiley-smiley and he's so grumpy-grumpy. Whatever can it be like at home?

southeastastra · 24/03/2012 21:12

reminds me of coving too, is that really what he called it? is there a link?

southeastastra · 24/03/2012 21:21

there's a covey island in nova scotia, maybe she has fond memories of a blue peter jaunt there

freerangeeggs · 24/03/2012 21:26

I don't know, I quite like it. It's not too strange. Is it perhaps a family surname?

NaughtyBusterAndTheBumFactory · 24/03/2012 21:43

I didn't know she was pregnant. I like it.
