MrsD and 4mad I love your names! They are super. Grin

raindroprhyme · 25/02/2012 22:24

Joseph Alastair
Caleb James
Seth Cooper

all have a family name as middle name. No others with the same name in their classes which was what i wanted in choosing first names unique but not to off the wall.

4madboys · 25/02/2012 22:32

thanks kazyr

i now need to convince dp we should have another baby, and hope i have twin boys to call them Emmett and Cassius Grin

4madboys · 25/02/2012 22:33

that should be kayzr

beachyhead · 25/02/2012 22:35

I wanted Guy Oliver and I changed at the last minute and I really regret it... he's 10 now

Kayzr · 25/02/2012 22:38

Yes you should. Emmett is brilliant but I can never use it as DD is going to be Rosalie(after my great nan) and of course they're both in Twilight.

AppleShaped · 25/02/2012 22:38

Lucas Matthew.

If i have another boy I would like to name him after my late american grandfather who sadly died two months before a private detective my mum hired had found him.

My mum had searched for 30+ years, but her mum had abandoned her and would not tell my mum anything about him. They also turned him away many times when he tried to see my mum. Eventually he had to return to america when the war ended.

We did go to the states this year and meet all our family and go to his grave. He was a actual cowboy!

Rather long way of asking if LOREN would be ok for a boy? Or would people think it was a girls name eg Lauren?

4madboys · 25/02/2012 22:43

kazyr rosalie was on our name list for dd! i suspect dp wont go for the idea of one more baby, let alone twins :( and twins do run in my family but i think 5 is enough for us unless we win the lottery...

and i have never watched twilight! we just like Emmett and of course it is the name of the super inventor in the back to the future films (classic films!) dr emmett brown inventor of the delorean time machine Grin

cassius clay was a famous boxer? they are both fab names and i would love to use them!

Heswall · 25/02/2012 22:43

My next boy in my dreams would be Harry John , a bit dull but I like them

camarelia · 25/02/2012 22:44

DS is Marco Edward Corentin. I would have loved Corentin as a first name with the nn Cory but prenunciation was an issue.

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 25/02/2012 22:44

Jake and i love it!

Kayzr · 25/02/2012 22:46

Cassius is lovely too. My DP is pretty classic for names. I had several he's completely refused. But we agree on Rosalie luckily.

4madboys · 25/02/2012 22:49

thankfully dp and i seem to agree, it takes us an age to decide tho, several of ours didnt have names for a few weeks after birth Blush i did rule out a few of dps suggestions tho, such as Eugene!

Rosalie is a lovely name :)

and i think Loren is fine for a boy btw Appleshaped

MuddlingThroughItAll · 25/02/2012 22:52

We have five boys and I've got to say, I love all of there names. My only regret is only giving them one middle name each as there are a lot of names I would have loved to have used. In no particular order my DS's have the names -

Darwin
Heath
Hendrix
Shay
Cassian
Orlando
Gabriel
Wolf
Silas
Jeremiah

That includes middle names too. I think my favourite overall is Darwin, but that was the first name DH and I picked.

LargeGlassofRed · 25/02/2012 22:52

Oscar Donald
Freddie Joe
Stanley Peter

peanutpie · 25/02/2012 22:53

Francis Alexander.

(Actually I probably wich I'd had Nicholas as his second name)

I love the name Francis. We live in the North so it's said with a Northern 'a' sound in these parts. I love love love it.

Our butcher is also called Francis, but he hated it and changed his to Darren....

AppleShaped · 25/02/2012 22:56

Thank you 4madboy

PutThatCatOutNow · 25/02/2012 22:56

peanutpie, I love the name Francis especially with a short northern 'A'. It's very cool and better than Darren!

4madboys · 25/02/2012 22:58

muddlingthroughitall did you have a name thread on mn when naming no 5, i think i remember your names! i love Heath and Silas! for some reason i do remember you having a thread about naming son no 5, but maybe i am remembering someone else?

MuddlingThroughItAll · 25/02/2012 23:03

4madboys that was me and we finally decided on Hendrix. If I remember correctly you were reasuring me when at around a week old he still wasn't named!

peanutpie · 25/02/2012 23:05

Thank you PutThatCatOutNow !

4madboys · 25/02/2012 23:08

yes i was on your thread, Hendrix is lovely and some of mine didnt have a name till they were 2wks plus! it hasnt harmed them in anyway Grin

how fabulous to have 5 boys! i was utterly convinced our no 5 would be another boy, it still seems odd to have a girl, and we found it really hard thinking of a girls name as we were so set on Emmett!

finsophmum · 25/02/2012 23:10
