Is Zoe a cool/classy name. Or a bit 'hard'?

I like the name. And thought it quite classy. But have heard someone else say they think it sounds hard. And then I saw someone on telly the other day called Zoe who didn't quite fit the classy image I have. So its got me wondering. What does everyone else think?

I am liking Zoe Elizabeth.
My only other choice is Eilidh Isabel

Zozzle why are you sorry? don't be. I do agree with you, some so called 'classy' names aren't very cool. But then I'm not cool Grin

As I said I don't dislike Zoe, it's just not a name i'd pick. However i'm pretty sure not many people would pick my DD's name.

I like Zoe :)

Zooey Deschanel is amazing, and pronounces it like Zoe. I am a bit in love with her after watching (the song is from her band She and Him)

Sorry... tangent... :o

I think Zoe Elizabeth is lovely :)

I guess classy is different to classic. I'd say Zoe is definitely classic (it has to be from its origins) but neutral on the classy front - neither posh nor chavvy, but maybe a tad quirky, but definitely not "in" as in "london trendy" in the same way as Esme, Violet etc are.

That's why I like it.
