What do you think - top of the list for dd3?

I knew someone who had Bluebell as their third middle name, it was ridiculous! Tbh I would avoid, there are much nice Belle names out there. Sorry to be so negative.

nkf · 08/02/2012 20:47

Adorable. Do you have the nerve?

I'd think donkey.

BackforGood · 08/02/2012 20:50

Only for a cow/calf.

irregularegular · 08/02/2012 20:51

Sorry, sounds like a cow to me. Or maybe a pony. It would be very, very difficult to be taken seriously as an adult woman called 'Bluebell'

JambalayaCodfishPie · 08/02/2012 20:51

Geri Halliwell has a Bluebell, I think.

hayleymama · 08/02/2012 20:53

Yeah that's where I heard it - I like Belle for short too.

That's a pub name locally! I wouldn't if I were you...belle is much nicer! Wink

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 08/02/2012 20:57

I'm going to buck the trend... I quite like it Smile

PopcornBiscuit · 08/02/2012 21:12

Yes, why not?

backjustforaminute · 08/02/2012 21:14

I reminds me of walking in the woods with my Mum when I was little, picking flowers.

I like it.

SianBB · 08/02/2012 21:17

No. Just no.

CharlieBoo · 08/02/2012 21:22

I like it too

winterland · 08/02/2012 21:38

I think it's sweet. Not sure if I'd be brave enough though...

SlinkingOutsideInFrocks · 09/02/2012 01:43

I would just think you'd copied Geri Halliwell.

And that is not a compliment. Grin Of all the celebrity baby names to copy, Geri/Bluebell is scraping the barrel.

AcquaViolet · 09/02/2012 02:25

Bluebells are lovely, and it's a sweet name for a baby, but can you imagine her as a grown up and introducing herself as that, unless you envisage a very unconventional life for her?

I really like it. I think it's sweet and very pretty for a little girl. Might put it on my list!

diddl · 09/02/2012 10:20

I don´t hate it or love it.

Wonder why some flower names are more "acceptable" than others?

When Geri Halliwell originally named her dd Bluebell I was a bit Hmm But the more Ive heard it the more I like it. I dont know why it is any different to Daisy or Rose. Also I dont think if you get asked what about Daisy people will say only for a cow.

Personally I would do it Bluebells are gorgeous delicate little flowers and oh does the forest look wonderful with that blue/purple blanket of bluebells in the spring time.

Rhubarbgarden · 09/02/2012 13:15

I think it's lovely.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 09/02/2012 13:21

No. Why not Rhodadendron, you could have Rhoda for a NN.

Stellan · 09/02/2012 13:23

Ridiculous, sorry. Keep looking.
