which is better out of these two? what do they make you think of aside from disney princess in reference to Tiana, as that doesn't bother me. Thanks

Both names are nice although I prefer Tiana which is short for Tatiana, we have a dd called Tiana she arrived long before the disney princess did. Some people are sooooo rude on these baby name threads, I don't understand why, get a life!!!

I think both are nice, though Tiana might be mistaken for Tina (unless I'm pronouncing it wrong)?

I actually prefer Arianne over Arianna, just a little less of a mouthful and a bit less 'frilly'.

Arianna comes from Ariadne afaik. I think I prefer Ariana over Arianna, and prefer both over Tiana.

Tiana is a shortened version of Tatiana. The name originates from Russia it means fairy princess. the disney princess Tiana was created in 2009. The name Tatiana/Tiana is an ancient russian name. Because Tiana does not have an 'r' in it, it does not spell Tiara!

By the way, I used to know an Arijana - quite pretty Slavic spelling, obviously pronounced with a long middle 'a'.

Tania is the Russian diminutive of Tatiana. Same letters but different sort of feel and sound.
