Jonathan. Because it was about the only name dh and I could agree on! And I do like it very much - it's traditional, not too way-out, but also not overly popular (so there will never be 4 other Jonathans in his class for example). And yes, I still love it, and thinks it suits him, and he is 10.

As a bump, or when they arrived?

Bump - Pugh.

At birth - not telling. Classic though, and yup I still love it, and his nn.

Mollie Olivia - yes, I do still like it, some 9 years on.

Alexander, because it is classic, timeless and strong, quite international, and its shortened versions are good too (Alex, Xander, etc). I like it so much that it'll be hard to find another name as good, if we have another DC!

Poppy

At ten weeks pg I read that the heart was the size of a poppy seed so that was the nickname whether it was a girl or boy. Of course it stuck after we found out she was a girl, all the time looking for "proper" names, right until I went in for induction. The minute she was born, she was simply just a poppy, through and through. It suits her down to the ground! (she's nearly 7 now)

Carmen (after her great-grandmother) with Lois (after my mother) as a middle name.

Yes, still love it and I think it suits her.

Yes, we still love it. It is a classic easy to spell/pronounce name that goes well with our short one syllable surname.

Kaia - yes I do still love it :)
DH & I spent a long long time looking for names. It was the only one on both our "love it*" lists

(*as opposed to the "I guess I could tolerate it" secondary lists!)

Rachel-still love it...she was going to be Rebecca till about 6 weeks before she was born, but there was a spate of Rebeccas in the birth notices in our local paper so we changed, so grateful to the parents of all those Rebeccas!

Sophia and yes, twenty seven years later I still love it.

All my children had 'working titles' before they were born though - these were daft names that were given to wind up my very opinionated mother. It was fun watching her gulp and say 'Very nice dear' to a name that she absolutely hated.

The look of relief on her face when they were born and we called them something more suitable was priceless.

Before he was born dh called him Magic... as in Magic Johnson (I don't get it either, we're neither tall, American or basketball players)

After he was born we fought over Enzo and Luca and I won and got Luca (Enzo is an old man's name surely?) and yes I do still love it. He's Luca B, Luca Bear, Luca Bazooka, Luca Bean and a million other variations on a theme.

Edie Magdalene

Big fan of Edie Sedgwick and Magdalene is my confirmation name.

Still love them both.

I liked it then and I love it now.

Edie was my teddy's name and I love it and am considering it for this one.

Iris.
Big fan of Iris Murdoch, and it is my grandmothers middle name.
I still love it, and 10 years later it suits her so much.

He's Alex to my family, Olek to me and DP.

Rhys Wyn.

He is now almost 9 and I still like it. It is a good, strong sounding name.

He was actually supposed to be called Steffan, but he didn't look like one when he was born and the name Rhys seemed to suit him.

It is fairly common, but he is the only one in his (small) school. There are however three Steffans.

No where near as popular here 10 yrs ago, as it is now.

It was also the only name we agreed on, neither of us wanted anything that could be shortened. Instead he is jackie boy, jacko, jackson etc.

I still think it suits him so yes, I do still like it.

Yes I love it, especially because it suits our surname. I was only getting used to the surname for me so was pleased that the 2 names worked well together.

George. Was only 4 years ago but we still absolutely love it.

Ruby Mae still love it but it is got very common so sad at that

George. Was ill for most of the pregnancy, DH asked if it was a boy could we call him George as it is a family name on both sides. Never really considered it myself but said yes just to shut DH up. Seven years on I love the name and him.

Sarah, after my Gran, who was terminally ill at the time..I was worried it would be too common, but she is the only one in the school . it was a way for me to tell my gran how much she meant to me before she died, 6 weeks later.

i then found out that my gran was named for her great aunt who had helped my great granny out alot as a child. So a family connection (with photos) going back a clear 150 years..love it!

Sarah is absolutely a Sarah and I am so pleased we chose it.
