Why? And, do you still like it?

Lilith Louise - we loved then and we love it now. Her nickname is Liliput.

Esme which I still like. However, I have wavered over the years and often thought I would have preferred our first choice of Helen.

10 years ago though it was considered fairly unusual and I was a bit disappointed when I realised that. I grew up knowing a couple so thought it was quite a well known name. The reaction we got tended to be 'have you made it up?' type comments when she was born. I was therefore pleased when it became more popular and we now know quite a few Esmes. DD also likes the fact that there are others around too - she didn't like it when people thought it was 'unusual'.

So when I had my boys I made sure I gave them more normal names!

Anaiah and yes I still like it 5 years on but I'm not sure I would use it again due to peoples pronunciation, it's supposed to be AN-eye-ah but everybody, even her dad says UH-naiah or ERR-naiah so I feel like her name begins with urgh Angry

Oh and people also assume it's 'made up' but it's Hebrew and I found it in the bible!

Winter (girl) - still love it, even though I've now met one other.
