George
Harry
Max
Felix
Oscar
Rupert
Isabella/Isabel variations

In DS's year 2 there are more than one

Harry
James
Isobel

In DD's. Reception class there are

3 Thomases (all known as Thomas)

Think that's it for repeated names. Am sure there are more in the whole school of course.

mathanxiety · 29/04/2011 18:55

Olivia
Sarah
Margaret -- 'Maggie'

Jack

DontCallMeBaby · 29/04/2011 19:42

DD is Yr2, two form entry:

2 x Emily
3 x Harry
2 x James
2 William
2 x Anna
2 x Annabel

Those are the straight duplicates; there four other near-duplicates.

DD has a name which is classic but unusual for her age - shares it with two of the mums in her year, poor sausage - yet shares it with a little girl in Yr R who lives almost opposite us.

Takver · 29/04/2011 19:51

Fairly small school - the multiples I can think of are:
Rhys
Catrin (including 2 x Rhys/Catrin sibling sets)
Finn
Jac
Grace (at least 3)
Megan

At one point dd's year (16 children) included Ellie, Ella, Eleanor and Elizabeth amongst the 8 girls

Hassled · 29/04/2011 19:54

We have shedloads of Jacks, Harrys, Emilys and Isobels/Isabelles/variations of the theme.

Idreamofsunshine · 29/04/2011 21:45

There are 4 Ben's in a class of 24, also a few harry's, Hannah's and Sophie's

chocolateshoes · 29/04/2011 21:55

only 90 in DS's school - duplicate names are:

In ds's year (year 5) there are 2 x Alice, Georgia, Bethany, Daniel, Jack, Joshua.

In the school in general, popular names are Harry, Jack, Joshua, Daniel, Matthew, Alex(ander), Ben(jamin), James, Emily, Jessica, Mia, Sophie, Eleanor, Lily, Lucy........

kreecherlivesupstairs · 30/04/2011 06:07

Not at this school, but at DDs last school there were many Jessica's, lots of Sophie's and more than a few Thomas'.
DD, despite having the most popular name in the world (Ruby) has only ever been the only one in the school. We are abroad though.

RustyBear · 30/04/2011 07:20

The 'Ellie' sound-alikes seem to be the new equivalent of the 'Kylie' variations of 20-odd years ago - in the playgroup DS (now 23) went to out of about 10 girls there was Hayley, Kayleigh, Cayleigh, Keeley, Kylie and Carly.

I work in a junior school - we haven't had any Rubys yet, we have 7 of Jack and James, 5 each of Ben, Emily, George, Mathh ew, Chloe, Oliver and Sam (4 of whom are in the same year)

In one of our year groups there are three Harrys, but it doesn't worry them, in fact they are rather proud of it and have a Harry Club - I overheard them at our Royal Wedding party discussing inviting Prince Harry to join!

purepurple · 30/04/2011 07:33

I work in a nursery and we have multiples of

Ruby
Scarlett
William
Michael
Lexie
Anais
Joshua
Isobelle
Jack
Jake
Megan

chrisonabike · 30/04/2011 07:54

Evie / Ava / Eve / Eva - loads of these.

freesias · 30/04/2011 09:02

mrsvwoolf i also love the name augusta .it gaining a little popularity would definitely make it more acceptable . i just hope it won't be one of those names that rises from nowhere to the upper reaches of the top 100.

freesias · 30/04/2011 09:42

having said that i really feel for their mother's . you give your daughter a very unusual name over something much more popular , but when you send them to school and there are 2.
just goes to show that no matter how hard you try to find a "unique" name , it's really little more than a game of chance as to how often you'll encounter a name.

virginiasmonalogue · 30/04/2011 10:35

Alfie (x lots)
