Not keen on any of those. How about

Verity
Alethea
Audrey
Nancy
Nina
Esme
Esther
Helena

QueenofDreams · 21/04/2011 22:25

Yvette? Don't know if it's unusual enough for you, but I wanted it and DP vetoed. He's in the boring names camp. He wanted Elizabeth, Catherine or Mary for girl's names Confused

MrsRhettButler · 21/04/2011 22:46

oooh Louella and Misha. i like :) does anyone else think dogs name about Misha? or is it just me? i do like that though

OP posts:
chocolatchaud · 21/04/2011 22:53

I think Cassia is Spanish for cinammon, but could have dreamt that! It can be pronounced casha I think?

ithaka · 21/04/2011 22:55

Mahalia is pronounced Ma hail ia. Mahalia Jackson was a famous gospel singer.

Ottoline Morrell was a patron of Oscar Wilde

Morven is a lovely Scottish name I have never heard outside Scotland.

harrisrebecca · 21/04/2011 22:55

I really love Matilda but havent met many pple that agree!

Trebuchet · 21/04/2011 22:58

Vari
Sylvie
Lena
Thea
Tilda

chocolatchaud · 21/04/2011 22:58

I love Matilda too and really regret not using it for DD - everyone I speak to says what a beautiful name. Oh well, it is her middle name - maybe not unusual enough for OP though?

MrsRhettButler · 21/04/2011 22:58

oooh you're right chocolat i just googled it :)

i like that, its going on the shortlist. the only thing that puts me off is it doesn't have a 'proper' meaning but is that just me being picky?
