Our surname is a bit unwieldy and does not go with some of the names i would have liked for the DCs.

If you could choose your surname, what would it be?

I like westwood or Weston - go with all of our names and pretty much every name I like. Simple and easy to spell without being too common.

Also like Costello if I had to go for something a bit more adventurous

Something Welsh to go with my name but a bit fancier than Jones or Evans so maybe something like Llewellyn or Meredith.

I love my surname as it's so unusual, but I do have to spell it All The Time.

I always like how most names seem to flow really nicely with Alexander so maybe I'd pick that. In fact, that could be my pen name if ever I was a writer Grin

I wouldn't change my surname or choose any other.

I love my name, all of it, surname included.

My maiden name was awful, had an X in it, always had to spell it out and still they'd spell it wrong! My married name isn't much better, people always spell it with a P or think I've said Simpson. Grrr, I'd love to be a Smith!

Funny you say Costello because that popped into my head before I clicked on your thread. I like the sur names like Kinsella, Gillespie and Costello that seem to have a bit more oo la la than the usual ones.

I like Gillespie for some reason. Even though I think it means priestly Confused or something like that.

I have always wanted the surname Cohen. I love it.
My friend has the surname Flowers which I think is really cool too.

I did change my surname by deed poll 8 years ago. I wanted a one-syllable name...
thought about Street but am teacher and Miss Street not so good... Grin

I would like to be a de something, like De Lacey or something Italian sounding so I could have a really exotic name for my dd. I married a man from yorkshire though so not much chance of that happening Grin

Chiles. I'd chose the name Chiles because then I'd be married to the lovely Adrian.
I wanted to marry my friends brother so I could be called Kreecher D'Aguila, luckily he wasn't interested in me.
I did have a long relationship with a man called X De'ath.

I always liked Grey and Greyson for something for some reason.

naughtynaughty, I had a boyfriend when i was 14 who adopted the surname McCloud. He had run away from home (was 17) and changed it (no idea what his real surname was...).

Brick is a great surname!

I like my married surname, is very common in Canada, apparently- but have to spell it all the time, despite it only having 6 letters. It is also said EXACTLY AS IT IS SPELT but this still proves difficult to everyonemost people. Ironically, the version we have is a corruption of the original name, meant to make it easier!

It is also a bit of a 'showgirl' type surname, think La Rue, but not that...Grin

I always wanted the surname Fitzgerald, it seems quite glam!

I had a nightmare with my maiden name. Double barrelled, but with no hyphen (as is the Scottish way or so I am told), an unusual spelling for one name and the other name could quite commonly be spelt 2 different ways!
I wouldn't change my name now as I love my married name, which believe it or not is LOVE!
