they work in fashion so I assume that they think its 'cool'.. but I find it ridiculous, up there with Apple... middle name is persian and doesnt match at all.

what do you say when you need to pretend the baby name is ok?

I thought there was a boy in DS2s year called tiger. Turned out to be Taiga (close enough spelling as I'm not sure) and not Tiger at all. They are, er, Japanese or Chinese or something similar.

Buy him some golf clubs.

Or hire a cocktail waitress. Or two.

Not as bad as my Mum, Soupdragon, who was being politely evasive about my SiL's new baby's name. It emerged later she misheard me on the phone, and thought he was called Pond Grin

Not only that, but she told lots of her friends before the confusion was cleared up!

I know of brothers named Tiger and Dylan. They are about 13 and 11 now. It's not terrible but 'tis a bit odd.

I know a Tiger Rose (girl obv), they call her Tiggs, with a brother called Hero...
