they work in fashion so I assume that they think its 'cool'.. but I find it ridiculous, up there with Apple... middle name is persian and doesnt match at all.

I know a 9 year old boy called Tiger, he is lovely.

I must admit when I first met him and heard what his name was (he was around 3 at the time) I was a bit but now I think the name suits him perfectly and is pretty cool.

Who cares what we think. It is your friend's baby and her name choice. Why not congratulate her on her healthy baby boy .

I agree - just congratulate them on their baby boy. You don't have to like your friend's choice of name for her son. You'll be surprised how normal Tiger will seem on him soon.

I know a Tiger too, never thought twice about it as a name, you won't either once you get to know him.

As it happens, I like it as a name, especially because he's a lovely lad so it has good associations for me :)

Anyway, regardless, you say - 'what a lovely name, isn't he beautiful, such a gorgeous baby' . . . even if he is all squashed and a funny colour
