did someone on here say a name was African? How can a name be African? Africa is a continent made up of something like 60 different countries speaking I have no idea how many different languages.

It's like saying a name is European - that would include English names, but also Greek, Romanian and Norwiegan ones!

I said African, specifically it is Swahili.

So, it's probably from Tanzania or Kenya.

Seeker, I don't know.

I Googled it and repeated on here what it said on the baby name websites I found it on.

It's how we found her name in the first place, with a baby name generator online, as we had no idea of a girls name we liked.
