In fact after 3 dd's I had a son and EVERYONE assumed (wrongly) that I was desperate for a boy - when he came out the very first thing I thought was "oh my Vivienne isn't to be then!"

I have a toddler Polly, and I love her name but it does get a little annoying when people hear it as either Holly or Poppy and I have to correct them.

They do then usually say, 'how lovely, you don't hear that often nowadays' in fairness.

Her nickname is also Pocket or Poppet as when she was born my dad misheard my sister joking about Polly Pocket and started introducing her as Polly Poppet to everyone!

Yes!!!! We have Princess Polly's Potty in this house! She thinks it's about her esp as she has an older brother too
