Something like Martha which I love but can't use.

Any ideas?

Elizabeth/Catherine/Helen/Charlotte/Alice/Rose.
As you can tell, I go for classic names.

Iwasthefourthwiseman · 29/11/2010 16:38

We've just called DD2 Rose, I love it. So not the name I would have picked before but she got to a week old and DH and I couldn't agree!
I think it is simple, pretty and rarely used except for a middle name atm.

DH didn't like it for DD but I think it's pretty but sensible. And Abby didn't go with our surname Sad

My girls shortlist was:

putthekettleon · 01/12/2010 15:47

I love Martha but couldn't use it due to our surname so I'm guessing you have similar taste to me - our shortlist for DD2 was:

Meredith
Tess
Eliza
Josephine (Josie)
Imogen
Sylvie
Rebecca

In the end we went for Meredith, shortened to Merry (very seasonal atm!)

We also have a Polly Jean, feel free to use that too! Grin

Suncottage · 01/12/2010 16:34

Does anyone else find it pleasing that Putthekettleon and alittleteapot have similar tastes in girls' names also?
