So, what do you think of:

Camille
Rosa
Annabelle/Arabella (dh likes one, i like the other)
Isabella (very popular - no?)

Any think else you could add in the same vein?

Poor DD2 is destined to be Bubba forever!

I love Rosa, woudl have used it but it doesn't go with our surname.

Bumperlicious · 26/09/2010 17:11

I may have to cry...

Rose Annabel.

Annabel Rose

Camilla Rose

Isabella Rose Camille

Isobel Rose

Camilla Isobel

Camilla Rose Isobel

I think I like Camilla Rose best.

seeker · 26/09/2010 17:19

Actually, I love Camilla Rose!

BelligerentGhoul · 26/09/2010 17:21

I like Isabella.

isabella Joy
Isabelle Wren
Isabella Naomi
Isabella Maeve

Not at all fond of Camille/Camilla, sorry.

SoupDragon · 26/09/2010 17:30

Rosa

SoupDragon · 26/09/2010 17:31

And tell your Dh to fuck off with his "I haven't decided".

Bumperlicious · 26/09/2010 17:32

Isabella is just so popular now though, i have Isabelle/Isabella exhaustion!

Wanderingsheep · 26/09/2010 17:38

Rosa is beautiful! Just keep calling her Rosa and DH will get used to it.

I love love love Isabelle but I guess it must be popular as I have one myself!

If you're not keen on Rosabella as a first name how about having Rosa as the first name and then Bella/Belle as the middle name?

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 26/09/2010 17:44

I'm completely with SoupDragon! :) If it's the name it's the name (and I think it is for you, isn't it?)

Bumperlicious · 26/09/2010 18:03

I would love bella as a first name but with our surname she would sound list a pasta/coffee chain! (not italian but sounds it).

The softly softly approach is the best way with dh. to be fair we are both knackered & not quite with it, but he is truly fulfilling the men can't multi task stereotype! i'm not getting much sleep but managing to feed baby, recover from labour, pick and order a dishwasher (going to be a godsend) and pick a name.

He is saying no to Rosa :(

He is suggesting Isabella. Still not sure about it. We are going back the drawing board. This is stressful, can't believe we are making such a big deal. Tis also embarrassing!

Hve you tried writing down another four names and pulling it out of a hat to see if it's something you like?

PussinJimmyChoos · 26/09/2010 19:40

Rosa is a lovely name though - what's not to like!

Show him this thread Grin

Congrats btw - saw from your other threads how uncomfortable you were while preg!

Northernlurker · 26/09/2010 19:42

Viola?
Sybil?
Felicity?
Amy?
Meggie?
Eleanor? (NOT Ellie or Ella)
Nell?

loobylu3 · 26/09/2010 20:49

All of your names are v pretty so relax!

How old is your DD? You do have 6 wks to register :)

By the way, what is DD1 called?

justbeme · 26/09/2010 22:47

Bumper don't stress - we took 5 weeks to name our little man!! You've got to get it right!

JaynieB · 26/09/2010 22:52

I like all of your ideas, Isabella/e is v popular, but don't let that put you off if you love it.
Rosa is sweet.
Arabella is classy and unusual.
The only one I find a bit lukewarm is Annabelle.
One name that struck me to suggest (you may hate it) is Araminta (bit posh though)
In a similar vein - Marista/Marisa?

AngryPixie · 26/09/2010 22:58

Not another Isabella/Bella/Belle/Izzy

Honestly, there are gazillions of them.

You seem to like 'a' endings;
Matilda
Miranda
Carlotta/Lottie?
Leah
Emma
Aurelia
Sophia

lowrib · 26/09/2010 23:13

How about Camille, NN Millie?

weepootle · 26/09/2010 23:17

I love Isabella and it wouldn't worry me about it's popularity.

MissHavishamsDress · 27/09/2010 06:04

Definitely Rosa

As for middle names, how about from the family..?

I think it would sound good followed by M or B

e.g. Rosa Beatrice
or Rosa Madeleine and not a vowel sound

MissHavishamsDress · 27/09/2010 06:09

Rosa Melody
Rosa Penelope
Rosa Pearl
Rosa Vivienne
Rosa Felicity

just suggestions

SoupDragon · 27/09/2010 07:30

If you really want Rosa, try bursting into tears.

I don't countenance naming your child something the other parent hates, but he's being a twat.

SoupDragon · 27/09/2010 07:30

I don't like Isabella. I prefer Isobel
