I'm thinking of changing my ds's name. This was one I originally liked but was too scared to use.
I'd just like to know what people think of this name.
Thanks

It's a prefix not a name. Don't do it.

What about Milo - similar sounding but not weird.

Celery · 01/09/2010 14:08

I know a 6 year old Neo. His mum's a right chav.

tapan · 01/09/2010 14:11

noah, leo, neo... it's not exactly a giant leap from 'normal' names, and it's not made up! i don't feel properly talked out of this just yet...

by the way i was only 14 when the matrix came out and i went to see it in the cinema no wonder i don't remember! i bet most kids nowadays haven't even heard of it let alone seen it

No.

PawMum · 01/09/2010 14:12

Leo is a nice name but Liam is fine. How old is your son?

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 01/09/2010 14:13

Don't do it. I know one Neo, and everyone always says 'What? Like 'The Matrix'?'. He is now 7, and his mum regrets it.

daisystone · 01/09/2010 14:14

I'm not quite sure if you are serious or taking the piss about this.

If you are seriously considering Neo then I am genuinally worried for your child. He will be judged on it whether you like it or no, and trust me, he won't be judged favourably.

You are buggering his life up right from the word Go.

zapostrophe those are bad things. neo, if the meaning is accepted to be 'new' is not a bad thing.

tapan · 01/09/2010 14:22

haha janitor at least it's a posh pram, not like luna, which i believe more people would find acceptable as a name.

Oh God, I met a mother the other day who had called her baby Luna Indigo.

I wanted to smack my head against the desk.

We know a Neo. I'm used to it now, but am not sure whether he'll have to change his name to Paleo when he's over 60.

no way he'd become a buddhist at that point and look forward to being new again :D

It's not too late to change his name from Liam, if you really don't like it! You can change fairly easily up until 12mo.

But I don't think you should change it to Neo, sorry.

mathanxiety · 01/09/2010 17:58

All names are just arrangements of letters when it all boils down, but Neo is still a giant leap away from 'normal' names. There's a world of difference between Neo and Leo.

How about Tomy? Wink
