I think we are pretty much organised but really not looking forward to this cyclone. I need to get some meds tomorrow and tie down the rubbish bins.

Yes I feel sorry for all the people with toddlers especially if they lose power.

I'm feeling sorry for all the small businesses who closed from Wednesday. It's going to be a financial hit for so many.

And yes! Get on with it Alfred!

All prepped to be locked in from flooding. We in Ipswich so winds not so much a worry but we know we will flood

The rain has started here in Logan. Winds are building up as well. Ugh.

I'm down on the south coast and wishing all those in this cyclones path the very best. Watching reels of surfers and beach goers in this weather build up has been nuts.

Wind is picking up for us too. I think it will make landfall early in the morning. I hope it weakens by then.

so so so relieved today. And we are lucky enough to still have power.

Now we just wait to see how bad the floods are going to be.

We bought some food but now that it seems OK in brisbane we are starting to eat our provision.

Yeah we didnt get the brunt of it but now we wait and see if the water rises

We had power up until last night. Still without power. I’m hoping there’s some shops open so I can have a nice hot coffee.

We lost internet overnight but it is back now. DH is worried we are going to flood downstairs.

And water is rising.....

MIL and her 2 friends stuck here even longer and ive now hit 'hide my coffee' levels with them cos they scoffing through it like a wildfire

@Ineedcoffee2021 that sounds grim. I am bored now. Tried to take DS to HJ but it is closed due to flooding. DS has II and is really struggling with the closures and changes to his routine. He's a bit more resigned to staying home since he saw what is happening out there.

Everybody got their vinegar ready? I'm kicking myself I forgot to buy some last week.

Nor one of her friends finishing DH $400 bottle of whisky that he has had for last 6 years

Miss 14 is ready to have her house back, ice skating tonight been cancelled, we cant get there and scouts was closed last thursday cos of the weather

I had a hotel booked at South Bank for my respite this week. I didn't check in today but I have decided I am going to tomorrow. Harris Farms is open so buy some food and even if I go nowhere for the next few days I will be gloriously alone. I might have to go to an appt in Nerang but I think Nerang is currently pretty munted so hoping it is switched to telehealth or postponed.

At least the ground should be nice and soft for digging!

Already had one about food - which is a whole drama in itself and nothing has changed going by tonights dinner
His mum is generally ok, nit picky, fussy but ok, she stayed for a month on her last holiday but she was alone
her 2 friends..... omg wow if we had known what they like, they would have been left in the caravan park to weather the storm
