i am knitting a cardy and can't remeber how to do patter it is for doing a button whole it says patter to last 4 stiches cast off 2 and patt 1
then the next row is patt 2 cast on 2 how the heck do u do it

yeh it i sonly for a baby cardy anyway how else can u do a button hole if u wanted to do a bigger hole incase i knit myself a cardy

Just the way we said, by casting off in one row and casting on the same number of stitches in the next. Why don't you get yourself a bit of spare yarn, cast on 15 stitches and have a bit of a practice?

thats a good idea hadn't thought of that will give it go it really does throw me when a pattern is different to what i am used to

Ravelry.com and ask for an invitation. It will answer all your knitting questions and you can see some beautiful work that other people have done. You may have to wait a couple of days for your invitation, but not much longer. You can have your MN name or another name, but it isn't so easy to namechange, although apparently not impossible.
