There are lots of cross stitch kits available to buy over here, and it does seem to be an up and coming trend with Thais. To be honest though I find most of the ones that you can get here quite garish - the clours are too bright and the pictures too cheesy for me! However a shop did recently open that carries a small stock of DMC kits, which are OK (and somehow cheaper than in the UK).
If I want to find things that i really like I order over the internet - from Sew and So P&P was only 3.95 for four kits which (compared to Amazon) is very cheap. Also I don't have to pay any VAT cos I'm outside of the EU.
When i'm actually going to find time to do all this stitching is another matter. I work full time as a teacher, have a 19 month old DD, also work in the boarding dpt of my school so am on duty two evenings a week plus Sundays and am about to start studying for a Masters! Oh well I have always maintained that I like to be busy!
