First try what do you think?
I think the rings need to be bigger as these are only 7mm which may not give you enough movement over a larger needle ??
I used a jump ring so that if you did forget to remove it, you could simply twist the ring open to get it off the knitting.
I think the loops I have done could also be neater, I am useless at wrapped loops!
But are they something along the right lines?

whizzz- my stitches are even, I can stright night fine, I can purl ok, i even figured out how to do a basic cable... but it all goes spectacularly wrong when I try to do a pattern ... i'm trying to get to grips with another stitch marker/little pendant, but i'm not terribly great with wire yet... my next random beady thing will be to make a hair bobble... I have some directions i scribbled down somewhere I jsut lost the hair ties.... grumble

Whizzz, tried your crochet markers out, on wool, cotton and Twilleys goldfingering (if it's going to catch on anything, it will catch on Twilleys) and I'm really pleased with them. They didn't catch on any of them and worked really, really well. Give yourself a pat on the back.

I usually use them in pairs, or singles, (pairs for paired decrease/increases), although I have seen them sold in 3s too.
When you advertise them, in addition to the no snagging thing, make sure to point out that they are lightweight and don't distort the stitches (I know this to be true). This will be a good selling point for crocheters and is something they will look for. (I know I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs on this but, that's what I'd look for).

Whizzz, I would sell them in fours from a knitting POV as that's what most patterns needing markers would require

Whizzz · 23/01/2008 16:47

thankyou

whizzz- I'm with Miaou sets of 4 sounds ideal, I would have matching sets and non matching ones too, for OCD people and Creative sporadic non matching types... I'm a bit of both so not sure what that makes me

oh and thank you for the e-mailed links!

Whizzz · 23/01/2008 17:56
