I've just finished the cowl version of the TatB Coco dress and I'm really pleased with it, the fit is perfect! I lengthened it by 10cm because I'm tall but it's a really good pattern, really easy to make. I'll post a photo if I can, it wasn't working last time I tried.

TatB do some lovely patterns - it looks like a lovely dress, @dubyalass. Would love to see a picture of yours.

That is a gorgeous print

And I've cleared my dining room of sewing stuff for Christmas - will put the tree where the ironing board usually permanently lives. Might still get some cutting out done, in the meantime.

Have a pair of socks on the go to keep my hands busy. Easier to pick up and put down than sewing, too, which is why I btaught Myself to knit!

Thank you! It's a French terry from Simple Life fabrics. It took forever to dry when I washed it but it's so easy to sew with. Got some scraps left over so I'm going to sew some trousers and a top if there's enough for my friend's baby.

And yyy to the knitting - I won't be able to do any sewing while family are here but I've got a cardigan on the go so that will keep me busy with all the cabling.

I’ve just got the hems to do on a dress for my 4 year old. She requested a short sleeve dress with swirly skirt, buttons up the front and pockets, and chose the fabric herself but now it’s almost done she’s changed her mind on having buttons 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lovely fabric, @dubyalass and a gorgeous dress, @SBAM I have a sleeve left to crochet on a cardigan for my godson - might get it done for Christmas!! I started it in the summer and then put it away because I don't like doing sleeves. I'll worry about that once I've got my sewing finished.

Wise people in my phone. I have some beautiful leopard print viscose challis and want to make a dress. Any suggestions? Needs to be pretty simple and fit my ample chest. Am happy to adjust if needed.

@HalleLouja any ideas of what style you’re leaning towards?
I think the By Hand London Anna would look amazing in leopard print, and they have a D cup version (for sizes 16+ I think) so would hopefully be a decent fit with minimal fussing. They have pretty detailed sewalongs on their website, I made one not long after I started sewing and it was successful.

I am only a size 10 but FF cup… will have a look at By London.

I am not sure what I am after. Mainly something pretty and easy to sew 🤣🤣🤣

Thread in telly addicts here. The celebs are usually absolute beginners so this might be good for my self esteem

I am in love with my TATB PJs. The only issue is my DD wants a pair. Luckily I have some FT I bought for her a while back that passed the softness test.
