Creating bad feeling on Arts & Crafts....

The person who did this knows exactly who they are. What I would like to know is why spoil it for other crafters. A fellow crafter asked for advice speedily and I gave it, having used exactly the set that would have helped. I also knew that if they needed it quickly they would have got it. Luckily they have now been and got what they needed. No thanks to the jealous, small mindedness of someone on here. I shop all over the place for Arts & Crafts stuff and not in one place. I would have no qualms about recommending the cheapest on here. As someone has quite rightly pointed out today Tescos & Asda are doing craft stuff now. Will you report that post as it's unsolicited advertising. No I didn't think so. Just recently I have been to absolute hell & back in RL - proper and utter hell. I have learnt that life is far too short to be nasty because what goes around really does come around.... No more on this subject from me.

Hi, we've had a few emails about this thread worried members' privacy. Please rest assured would never reveal the details of any communication between members and ourselves (or any personal/identifiable details for that matter) - our members' privacy is sacrosanct. We certainly have not revealed the names of anyone who emailed us regarding this matter.

With regards to our advertising policy, we do regularly ask people not to repeatedly promote businesses with which they are associated. This is a longstanding policy of ours.

Sorry for the worry and please \link{mailto:[email protected]\let us know} if you have any questions about our privacy policy. We take these concerns very seriously.

Hi all - sorry for the confusion. It's fine to link to sites, however we do discourage people from linking to the same site repeatedly and out of context.

For example, say SoupDragon had been to Bubblerock's hotel and loved it (as she would, I'm sure!) and thought it was great and wanted to do anything to help BR. It would be fine to post on her small business ad and say "I loved the trip - thanks ever so much for your hospitality". We actually encourage this - it's great feedback and makes the ads worth the cost. It would also be fine for SD to reply to a post asking for a family friendly hotel in Blackpool with a link and saying that she'd been and enjoyed it immensely. It wouldn't be ok for SD to post repeatedly post about the hotel and/or link it to on threads asking for camping near Blackpool or a family friendly hotel in Brighton.

As I mentioned before, we do have a longstanding policy on what constitutes advertising in the main discussion board and deal with it consistently and on a regular basis. This isn't an unusual case, except for the response, I suppose! Wink

Sorry if I don't reply again until tomorrow - am just about to make my first ever pitcher of Pimms. Am sadly quite excited about making a drink which will have cubes of cucumber floating in it.
