So disappointed!

I've decided to learn to crochet. Have read blogs, watched tutorials, become inspired.

Yesterday I bought practise yarn and a hook.

I have just sat down for the first time today - toddler and baby asleep, DH working late.

I have the video to follow on the iPad. I have a ball of yarn. I have sent the dog to bed.

And I must have left the crochet hook at the till yesterday.

I'm very unscary too pregnant to waddle onto my broom at the moment and we have cake [hwink]

I'm also very southern for lessons, although it'll have to be this month if I'm to guarantee meet ups. Otherwise hire me someone to do piecework for you...

Crochet is very forgiving, so in a way much less scary than knitting. Go for it!

Norks, if you're serious, I'd love your hooks. Am often teaching groups of kids/adults at home thingies to crochet and some spare hooks would come in very handy :) I'll PM you if you're still wanting rid of them.

I'll be stuck on my arse with a hook for the next month or so, need something to keep my brain alive

Plus, MrsY's blanket was handed over to Pistey on Wednesday so i just have Christmas pressies and fun stuff on the hook now

I'm like Norks, I have such lovely pictures in books of things I want to crochet. But. I. Can't. Do. It. It drives me insane. I can knit (scarves, but still), I can sew, everything else crafty but I just can't crochet. I let the dog have the last thing I attempted. I want to whip up a natty flower in a spare 15 minutes or squares to make a blanket. A want a kindly folk to teach me. Whilst we eat cake and drink tea.

Tufty, my approximate location is on my profile. Any use? I'm on a bit of a time limit what with being 36+3 but I'm sure we can sort something out :o

Lovely flamingo is going to take me on as a sort of charity challenge if we can ever find a day to meet up.

Norks I was exactly the same as you. Just don't get it, teacher couldn't get me to get it.

One time I lost a crochet hook - found it when I sat down one day and the hook went through my finger! I was too squeamish to pull it back through, so went running out the front door and asked the first person I saw (neighbour's husband) to pull it out while I buried my face in his shoulder. Don't think his wife was too impressed
