how are you getting on soupdragon? I'm making a dress in the size 10.

I made one motif but it was very fiddly! Not sure I can face making more :)

I have finished the blanket I started on holiday last summer though.

Um...
In the grey, I straightened the ripple, then added a row of 1 DC ch 3 skip 3 stitches repeat. In the corners I think it was still DC, ch 3.

In the blue I did 4 TC in each 3 chain space all the way round. In the corners I did 4 TC, CH3 but with hindsight, this was too many stitches in the corner.

In white I did a "puff" between each group of 4 TC. A "puff" was 3TCs made leaving the last loop on the hook then YO and pull through the loops. The corners were Puff CH3 Puff

The last blue row was the same as the previous one but going through the top of the previous blue TCs and around the white CH3. In the corners it was just 4TC which gave a nice rounded corner (and was a nice surprise!)

finished off with a row of white crab stitch.

I am crap at patterns as I tend to just wing it!

Thank you :) I am more in love with it now that it's been washed! Whilst it was hibernating over winter (and it was a long winter!) it was used by the children with a stitch marker in one corner. It was a little grubby!

I think I need to join this support group for addicts. I taught myself to crochet last weekend, and have barely stopped since; DH is getting worried that our house will end up covered in granny squares and half made hats by the end of the month!

DS has just asked me to make him a scarf, and I'm part way through a hat for DD, and have run out of yarn for it. DH saw some amigurumi pictures I was looking at yesterday though, and has asked if I can try to make some of them, so I am trying to identify one that will work in white/red/blue, as those are the colours of yarn I have in the house! He has agreed to fund my addiction hobby if I can make some amigurumi :o

Why has it taken me so long to discover crochet though?!!

I think your dh might regret that. my dp is moaning about me going to yarn shop this afternoon because I need more but he wants to know what's wrong with the two boxes full that's under the stairs.

I am taking did with me so he can watch the football so not sure what his problem is

well I went to the yarn shop and came out with more thread and a tatting shuttle, so looks like a night in front of you tube -and more swearing-
