Never saw anything in David Tennant (face like a rat IMO) but the new Doctor....

Anyone else always confuse David Tennant with Richard Hammond?

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 01/07/2010 11:19

PS, why would you do that?! Richard hammond is equally as fantasically gorgeous, but in an entirely different way!

piesey · 01/07/2010 11:27

Face like a Rat??!!!!! Nooooo!
DT is yummy.

MS - I like him as DW he's really grown on me. Don't fancy him but I would like him to be my friend as he's funny and sweet and seems nice (as DW - no idea what he's like in RL!)....

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/07/2010 11:29

Ooh NOOOO Matt Smith looks like a shark/as if his face has been melted.

NOT good looking at ALL.

David tennant had that pointy rat faced think going on, plus scottish skimmed milk, slightly blueish tinged skin.

I am reserving my Dr Who lust for Sylvester McCoy

Ooh NOOOO Matt Smith looks like a shark/as if his face has been melted

Face like a Rat

He looks like a 2 dimensional cut out from the back of a Bunty comic.

Bit bloody harsh. Don't forget he is someone son!! I'm sure you wouldn't like comments about your DC like that out in public.

SacharissaCripslock · 01/07/2010 11:34

I totally fancy the new Doctor Who.

I will not blush!

steamedtreaclesponge · 01/07/2010 11:35

Mmm I love Matt Smith

Walked past him on Carnaby Street the other day and practically fainted with excitement

QueenofDreams · 01/07/2010 11:35

Wasn't bothered about David Tennant, but this new bloke is just weird looking. His jaw is really strange. Almost deformed. Um.
YABU. He's too odd looking to fancy.

upahill · 01/07/2010 11:38

Blimey I sound moody!! I'm not really!

lucysnowe · 01/07/2010 12:52

YATDNBU. He is utterly gorgeous. Never really fancied Tennant, at least not with a mockney accent

jaebird · 01/07/2010 13:07

YANBU. Matt Smith is amazing. I like him for his charisma more than his looks though. Did you see him with Orbital at Glastonbury? attempting a link

FortunateHamster · 01/07/2010 13:42

He gets more appealing the more you watch him, cos he's absolutely bloody brilliant as the Doctor, so I'd say YANBU at all!

MrsJohnDeere · 01/07/2010 13:46

I like him as Dr Who (albeit a bit young for me) but don't find him appealing at all as himself (pics of him bare-chested and wearing a necklace in this week's Grazia, eg).

dreamygirl · 01/07/2010 14:09

YANBU. I like him a lot. I find it impossible not to be in love with the Doctor, whoever's playing him. I'd seen DT in loads of things and never understood what the fuss was about but when I saw him as the Doctor I was spellbound. And likewise Christopher Eccleston. Clearly I'm some kind of Doctor-tart . (Can't say anything about any of the previous incarnations as I never really saw the old ones, we weren't allowed to watch it)

Bucharest · 01/07/2010 15:21

You see, I think he's also a bit rubbish at being the doctor....I don't fancy DT at all, (and totally agree about the weasel face) but he was bloody brilliant at the Doctor. This one is just trying too hard to be whacky.

emmab5 · 01/07/2010 18:35

YANBU I think he's gorgeous - I do have unusual taste though lol!

rubbersoul · 01/07/2010 20:21

I used to love David Tennant as the Doctor... however I LOVE Matt Smith, and think he was born to to play this role!

lemonysweet · 01/07/2010 20:37

RunLyra, im still giggling at your first comment.

Matt Smith looks like Frankensteins monster.

David was geek perfection and even though his wass too long and completely blew any exits from past and future away, i cried like a baby during it. Bernard Cribbins should have been assistant for all of Billie "damsel in distress" Piper's series.

Matt Smith has grown on me but the 'Geronimo' thing is crap and too kid-friendly. How about 'fuck, that crack in time's looking a bit ominous'

Amy is the best assistant ever, so believable and needs MORE SCREEN TIME PLEASE.

To summarise, if i was the Doctor's assistant when Tennant was there the whole thing would have been lots of shagging in the Tardis, LIKE ALL DOCTOR WHO FANS SECRETLY WANT.

....i need to have a lie down. i feel like a sweaty nerd wanking over Doctor Who fanfics.

crisproll · 01/07/2010 21:11

YANBU. Matt Smith is yummy as was David Tennant as the Doctor. Think I have a whole Time Lord thing going on though as I wouldn`t look at either of them twice outside the TARDIS!

melikalikimaka · 01/07/2010 21:20

YABU he is really odd looking! He fell off the ugly tree. David Tennant had charisma although he was a little strange looking too.

Greensleeves · 01/07/2010 21:22

personally I could never develop feelings for a man who said "squeaky bum time"

twice

Fennel · 01/07/2010 21:24

he's just too young to fancy. He and Amy make me feel about 90. Bring back my peers DT and Catherine Tate....

Greensleeves · 01/07/2010 21:28

CT was a bit annoying though

what irks me about Amy (other than the fact that she is called Amy) is that she is so obviously a product of committee thinking

they thought "Hmm, we liked the red hair and feistiness of Catherine Tate, but we need someone with the nubile legginess and three-dick gob of Billie Piper"

hey presto

Amy Pond

Northernlurker · 01/07/2010 21:30

I think they're both pretty strange looking and imo that can be very attractive as long as not accompanied by smells or pus. In the finale when Matt Smith appeared in the Tardis leaning against the door - I did think 'oooh' - then I thought NO he's too young for me. DT is much more appropriate and in his natural scottish accent.........

LittleBlueEllly · 01/07/2010 22:10

I used to fancy peter davidson back in the day. More recently I fancied both CE & DT as the Doctor but not quite sure about MS. Did have a sexy dream about him which made me wonder but he's a bit too Mick Jagger for my liking, & he seems like he fancies himself a bit too, whereas the others didnt.
