I wish I could fit into knickers from when I was 23!! If only! Although I do still have some of the sexy knicks back from those days of enviable thin-ness, but they're now used by my daughters on their dolls. Must remember teeny tiny thongs are not appropriate on dollies out in the supermarket

Was just looking at the mess of thin, black or white cotton that is my knicker drawer yesterday thinking I could do with a re-stock, but just pg with #3, so maybe it'll have to wait a few years (again).

Know what you mean about the wedding knickers though - I keep them for prosperity My poor DH!

I suddenly feel normal - I have very old knickers (probably 15 years old or thereabouts) which are rather grey and shapeless but oh so COMFORTABLE! All my friends wear matching bras and knickers and I felt like a slattern. Maybe I'm fairly normal after all!

I just hate shopping for clothes - being, ahem, a 'larger lady' (Or as Mma Ramotswe would say, 'of traditional build') I can never find comfortable clothes at a reasonable price, so when I find something comfy I buy 2 or 3 of them and live in them till they fall apart!

porcamiseria · 19/06/2010 09:02

where did you buy them????? due to my (cough) need for tena lady mine dont last too long

Dlamis · 19/06/2010 09:06

They are antiques!

I hear there's a market for old underwear on ebay. you could make a fortune.

I think my oldest are probably about 2 or 3 yrs old if that.

re the questio about what to do with old bra's that are still ok to wear - well and knickers so long as they're still in reasonable condition - the women's refuge or homeless centre.

At christmas both schools did collections for those two places, and included a sheet from each of them saying what they needed. And usable underwear was included on both lists.
