The Weber chicken roaster is much better than that Lakeland one - it comes with its own butt neck plug. www.gardenandleisure.com/products/weber_poultry_roaster_.html

I love them. I got them when I was working FT.

Mine are that colour and blue.

The kids love 'em.

Sometimes we have a sundae for tea.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/06/2010 21:59

I'm afraid I can't get over the headless baby roaster!

I have one of the original Habitat chicken bricks - much smaller than the Lakeland one - here is one on ebay It fits a 3lb chicken - but I have found it is OK up to tabout 1.8kg

The top half sort of fits inside the other one when it's not being used and it doesn't take up too much space in a cupbard. I use it regularly - about once a month.

I bought one for a friend for Christmas off e-bay. The first one arrived in bits as it had been inadequately packaged (he refunded, although I paid the postage as he had said that he's prefer it to be picked up), but the next one I found arrived beautifully packaged (I contacted them to warn them how easily it broke). I ended up paying less (even including the postage for the first one) than I had one the first one for

DD has an arabic coffee set for dolls. I have been tempted to use it myself.

I love Lakeland, but their idea of a flour sifter is ridiculous. flour sifter
It's miniscule! I had to get my mother to send me a proper sized one from Australia, as you don't seem to be able to get them here.

trumpton · 14/06/2010 12:25

If you are ordering from Lakeland I can really recommend these. I got some months ago and have had NO fruit go over on me. Even pears that have a 2 minute of ripeness window.

trumpton · 14/06/2010 12:27

And yet again ( Links you are my nemesis)

LISIANTHUS ROTFLMAO at that LL flour sifter.

The ones we used in Home Ec (In NZ) you could get a whole bag of flour into if you needed to.

Me, too, Riven. I keep looking in charity shops for one.

You can get some amazing couscous recipes and roasted veg recipes for them.

Well if any of you lived anywhere near me you could have mine. But you don't. I know because you are famous

MissM · 14/06/2010 20:54

I have a chicken brick and I love it! (But it does take up all my kitchen cupboard space and is a bugger to wash).
