Have been away this week and saw a young girl (about 5 or 6) wearing a T-shirt like this

here

I was honestly

Well I don't take exception to the first bit. DD's life would be made if she had a horse. And I guess I prefer 'rich daddy' to 'rich sugar daddy'.

EveWasFramed10 · 05/06/2010 18:29

Not the worst thing I've seen!!

It's not to my taste at all, but I have heard of (not actually seen with my own eyes) far, far worse on babies and toddlers!!

ShadeofViolet · 05/06/2010 18:32

Infact this is worse

OrmRenewed · 05/06/2010 18:32

Now that is vile!

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 05/06/2010 18:33

Not the worse, but not a good look on a small child. ....

Cadelaide · 05/06/2010 18:33

That one's pretty awful but some of their others are fabulous.

Thanks for the link!

Cadelaide · 05/06/2010 18:35

I meant the first one.

The condom one warrants my first ever

I really don't know what to say.

MrsHarkness · 05/06/2010 18:40

I've seen worse

MitchyInge · 05/06/2010 18:43

my daughter has that 'happiness is a horse and a rich daddy'

although horses paid for by feckless single mum (me) mainly

TotallyWipedout · 05/06/2010 18:43

I've seen much worse. I thought it was going to be a porn queen type thing. I'm all for horses and rich daddies.

TotallyWipedout · 05/06/2010 18:44

Ooh, but the second one is

BuzzingNoise · 05/06/2010 18:45

The first one is really bad. It's basically saying 'hey paedophiles, buy me a horse and I'm yours' in my opinion.
The second one is trying to be funny but it's just sad. I would be really saddened to see a child wearing it.

MitchyInge · 05/06/2010 18:45

would probably be funnier if there was a rich daddy in our family

lal123 · 05/06/2010 19:01

Dear God buzzingnoise - are we now blaming kids for paedophiles actions???????????? "She was asking for it - did you see her t-shirt?"

Personally I don't like it - but another thanks for the link!

BuzzingNoise · 05/06/2010 19:03

No no no no that is not at all what I said.

lal123 · 05/06/2010 19:08

Sorry to misunderstand and post too soon. But really? You really think that this T-shirt gives a message of any sort to paedophiles? What about T-shirts that say.... oh I don't know.. that say "I like sweets" - are they giving a message to paedophiles?

BuzzingNoise · 05/06/2010 19:14

I was merely suggesting an alternative way that the text could be interpreted. It's the sugar daddy part that makes it stand out from a top that said just 'I like sweets', as a sugar daddy is 'a wealthy, middle-aged man who spends freely on a young woman in return for her companionship or intimacy' (definition from dictionary.com).

lal123 · 05/06/2010 19:15

But is doesn't mention a sugar Daddy??

KurriKurri · 05/06/2010 19:17

I don't like it because it suggests girls are 'happy' with material possessions and an endless supply of money. i.e. they are shallow and completely lacking in depth or complexity - not a good message. But I may be taking it all far too seriously.

BuzzingNoise · 05/06/2010 19:19

Oh yes, my mistake. I read 'rich daddy' as 'sugar daddy' sorry!!!

BuzzingNoise · 05/06/2010 19:19

lol I got muddled up with Orm's post. Oh well. Still don't like the t-shirt.

sanielle · 05/06/2010 23:13

I saw a "future Hooters girl" tshirt for toddlers/little girls being sold in the windows of hooters in Florida..

I was really upset.. When people put their kids in gross "the condom broke" tshirts.. usually as tacky as it is.. it is a reflecion of the parent.. But the future hooters girl tshirt seemed to be making a comment about the child and made me feel a bit sad.
