Rarely watch adverts but we left the prog running after watching it before moving onto the next one recorded and caught the new Birds Eye advert for fish fingers...

...is it me or is that polar bear frightenly close to sounding like an abusive husband?

i think the bear is meant to be a gangster not an abusive husband same as vinnie with his bisquits , or maybe people think he really is going to kneecap you if you dont eat foxs

its not a drunk man saying it though is it its a small bear i dont think birdseye would ever advocate domestic abuse when advertising their family foods

I really like the ad - though I don't think I've ever bought any of their products. I didn't realise it was Willem Dafoe doing the voice.

Still sticking to own-brand stuff though.

I just watched the fish finger one and the peas and I have say that I found the fish finger one quite disturbing. I think Fiona should padlock the freezer and leave it locked... That will larn him to be nasty.

I did not for one second think of an abusive husband when I saw them. I saw more of a mafia boss.

But now you mention it it could indeed be heard that way so YANBU.
