Skips prettily about the vast empty potentiality of the empty Hall and awaits.

Umami, sorry to say that thought also entered my head (though I did my best to quash it).

All frolics (love that word!) here are much appreciated, as you know. Why feel 'troubled' when you can be frolicking?

Lenin, aaghh, I want to join you on the football thread, but fear I shall be no bloody good.

Umami · 18/07/2010 07:37

Ah, Princessa, I am so pleased to hear that I'm not the only scatalogically-inclined one!

I have stumbled across a blog/ cartoon thing that appears to have been written just for us! It is called Hark! A Vagrant! Isn't that just perfect? It mostly appears to be verrrrr odd.

Umami · 18/07/2010 07:41

Though I do like 'Dude watchin' with the Brontes'

Umami · 18/07/2010 10:41

This one makes me think of Mimi

Umami · 18/07/2010 10:58

This one has swooning and the ripping of bodices

PrincessFiorimonde · 18/07/2010 11:12

V good, Umami. How come when I am web-browsing I only come across cleaning products or matters relating to endowments?

Dare you to post the first one in the feminist section!

How's the baby?

(Was going to say 'bub', in tribute to a thread of a week or so ago entitled 'Things I don't get about MN' - or some such name. In the course of which, I may add, this particular thread was mentioned a couple of times.)

Umami · 18/07/2010 14:02

We're we mentioned? How marvellous! So nice to be recognised!

The baby is well, thank you. Happier now it is a little less warm, teething merrily and made almost entirely of snot, but he bears it well. My breasts, on the other hand, are feeling overworked!

PrincessFiorimonde · 18/07/2010 19:59

'Made almost entirely of snot' - Umami, you have such a way with words...

Met a baby-who-wasn't-quite-a-baby (about 10 months old) yesterday and said to DP, 'Oh she's lovely, would like to take her home' - pfff, the Mum handed her over in a second. For bouncing on the knee and playing peek-a-boo type things. (In the Mum's defence, she kept her beady eye on me, no doubt in case I made a break for the door.)

Guess I'm just a broody lover of babies.

Though I also like toddlers.

Gibbon · 19/07/2010 08:49

Love the cartoons Umami, esp the 'no wonder nobody buys your books'

lol @ princess making a break for the door - 'ok....LEG IT!'

Busy but lovely weekend and I am feeling lazy today.

Gibbon · 19/07/2010 10:05

chuckle

PrincessFiorimonde · 19/07/2010 11:02

Gibbon, glad you had good weekend. Yes, think Umami has started something there.

MadameDefarge · 19/07/2010 11:30

I am appalled and dismayed at the low tone of some of you..you will never gain vouchers for Almacks at this rate.

Lovely to hear news of Gibletta...

PrincessFiorimonde · 19/07/2010 11:41

haha at vouchers for Almacks.

Mimi, did anything come of knickergate (copyright Gibbon)? And what of The Crush?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 19/07/2010 12:04
  1. I want to know What Kind of knickers (big pants, crotchless fur-lined, M&S whitees etc)?

  2. I love those cartoons Umami. Superb

  3. Ah yes, the not - one of mine was booger-boy when teething - the other was dribble dude (bib surgically attached for 2 years)

  4. I like babies but I couldn't eat a whole one

Jamieandhismagictorch · 19/07/2010 12:05

snot - not not. Der

MadameDefarge · 19/07/2010 14:44

Sigh. If you must know, they were very pretty cream knicks with kinda broderie anglaise pattern and black bows...

PrincessFiorimonde · 19/07/2010 19:45

Mimi, sounds like your knickers were lovely - why did you leave them behind? (Pun certainly intended.)

Hope Marco appreciates them... Daresay he will be wearing them soon.

Jamie. Tsk! Don't go all WC Fields on us. Am sure your boys are nicer than this - they play rugby, don't they?

Gibbon · 20/07/2010 08:13

I would be lamenting the loss of those pants Mimi, they sound v pretty.

Gibbon · 24/07/2010 08:19

Did I manage to kill the IPOAT thread?

Lenin! Darn it if I didn't go and miss you

I would have had you dancing along with me in no time.

MadameDefarge · 24/07/2010 16:11

have just had a fight with a Full English Breakfast. Suffice to say it won.

IPOAT shall never die, I tell you, never.
